Fit and finish of the home, amenities, phenomenal level of communication and care make this a rarity in the Iberian Peninsula. It would be in the top 5% of the 150+ bookings I have done over the 25 years in Europe vacations to support our cycling forays. Proximity to delightful rural museums in Sao Domingos and Abela, significant Roman ruins in Santiago do Cacem and phenomenal natural beaches at Almograve make this a most compelling property. The high standards and care are evident the minute you engage with Sue and Patrick. Far from the tourist hordes of the Algarve or the supposed must see “attractions” of Lisboa and Porto lies what arguably is the heart and soul of Portugal……Alentejo. Many Portuguese folks would agree. The Alentejo has it all and Estrela do Cerro…the star of the hills exemplifies what we love about independent self planned travel in Europe.
