Vacation rentals near Rock and Rapid Adventures

This cottage was one of our favourite VRBO rentals. Chittlehampton is a lovely small town; the cottage is right on the main square between the church and the pub; and the house is charming, clean, comfortable, and has everything we needed for a week’s stay. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a base for exploring the SW of England.

Genuinely did not want to to go home and leave that amazing view behind. At high tide if you stand just inside you can't see any buildings at all just wall to wall water. It felt like being on a cruise ship (but with much bigger rooms!). Apartment was larger than expected and spotless, we felt instantly at home. I'd say probably the best in the complex being top floor (so higher ceiling) but close to the water and at the quieter end. I was a bit concerned if there would be enough to keep a teenager engaged locally but we all had a great time. Westward Ho! itself was a delight, lots of nice places to eat and the beach combo of sand and rock pools was perfect. I never go back to the same place for my holidays but I am sure temped to rebook Reflections. Think it will be very hard to beat. We visited the Ultimate Adventure Centre. The Milky Way, Lundy Island (swimming with seals) and Watermouth Castle and can recommended them all. We ate 4 nights at the Waterfront Inn, found it perfect for our needs and much better than the Pig on the Beach. Sadly the Pier restaurant was closed during our stay. Look out for the Spooky house. It has an interesting history.
