Vacation rentals near Barbury Castle

Cricklade has all the essentials for making yourself comfortable in the cottage. Cottage is roomy, clean, and fully equipped. Our hosts were helpful when needed, otherwise invisible. A great experience.

We had 4 beautiful days there. The hosts are lovely. We had great conversations and they gave us wonderful travel advice. The north transept is spacious, cozy and clean and the property is peaceful and beautiful. The transept is centrally located with quick access to Stonehenge, Lacock (for Harry Potter fans), Bath, Castle Combs, Bristol and Cotwold. We were provided with more than enough food for breakfast. We had to do some work and have some zoom meetings and had great internet connection. We hope to go back again. What a gem!

We so enjoyed our stay in this out of the way and yet easily accessed cottage. Very clean, charming decor, comfortable home away from home. Everything we hoped for. Kate is a fine host, available but unobtrusive. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Post Office. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was spotless and we had plenty of room. The setting was beautiful, felt we were truly in the countryside. Would have no hesitation going there again.

The perfect getaway in the English countryside. Exactly as advertised, with both two and four-legged hosts that exceeded all expectations! Would recommend as a place for either pure rest and relaxation, or a 'home-base' to see other sights in the area by car or bicycle, or a bit of both. On behalf of my partner and I, we really, really enjoyed our stay. We may even be back!

Everything was great. Milk, bread, coffee, tea and condiments in fridge for us. Owner even provided boots for walking around the property if it was wet. Would recommend highly
