Mission Fields vacation rentals

This was our third year in Carmel and it is just the greatest place to stay at for the three visits but it seems next year has already been booked by others so we are disappointed to not return for 2025. But for those who have not experienced ‘The Cottage’ it is great.

Lovely cottage, comfortable, clean, great location, in a charming Carmel neighbourhood. Our family of three adults enjoyed long ocean side walks, hiking in several state parks between Carmel and Big Sur, and a seaside walk in Monterey.

This house worked perfectly to go to the Monterey Car week and stay a bit away fron the crazy trafic and noise of the week.

This property was absolutely perfect. Walking distance to two beaches, downtown with plenty of restaurants and shops. The neighbourhood was quiet and quaint. The house had absolutely everything you needed, it was just like being at home. The hosts were always available with quick response time. Can’t say enough good things about this property other than book it now if you’re heading to Carmel area. We can’t wait to go back.

Hosts kept in excellent communication with us from start to end. So grateful they accommodated all 8 of us for my husband’s milestone bday. Met up w/ our kids & their partners (ages 21-27yrs.) came from 5 cities in Europe,Canada & the U.S.This Villa took our breath away (& we are seasoned 5-star global travellers -for business & pleasure)! High quality, custom-built Villa with superb views of ocean & mountains; lots of natural light from skylights/windows; elevator, Top quality for everything; beautiful decor; very clean; very comfy beds/bedding; open-concept living room/ dining room/ kitchen/library; large outdoor furnished terrace w bbq/fire table/heater+2 private furnished decks off 2 bdrms; well-stocked with towels (bath,beach,kitchen towels); all supplies (Ziploc bags; alum.foil; Saran Wrap; etc.);pots/serving bowls/cutlery/wine glasses; laundry chute; the outdoor shower was a hit!; 1 bathroom easy to share due to private toilet/ private shower/ double sinks.Games Rm. Located next to an easy 20min.Trail walk to Mission Ranch Restaurant, the Carmel Mission, Carmel Beach & downtown Carmel. Near Monterey/Pebble Bch/ Point Lobos. One daughter got a soccer injury 2days prior & Hosts got her a Transport Chair for her use for free! Had the best beach chairs/wheeled cooler & a Beautyrest plug in inflatable air mattress. Grocery Starter kit was great! Tip: Bring eye mask for MasterBdrm to sleep-in. Nothing else needed. Nice to add: Füssball table? Hot tub? Can’t wait to return!

A fantastic property and host!

We arrived and were met by Jamie. She took time to show us the house and property. We felt welcomed and comfortable. The house was clean and bright. Both bathrooms, the kitchen and bedrooms were well stocked. TVs in the front room and each bedroom. Beautiful, private front patio with a lovely garden. The back deck has a comfortable sectional sofa under a covered pergola, with bbq and dining area on the other side of the large deck. Groceries, CVS and other store are a one minute drive from the house. Carmel is a 5 minute drive, Monterey 15 minutes and the drive down the coast to Big Sur is gorgeous. We spent time exploring the area and our down time was spent at the house which we enjoyed. It was a bonus having a washer/dryer on site and made the trip easier. I have already recommended Jamie’s home to others and we will stay again next time we are in the area. Jamie’s home is exceptional and she is a lovely, responsive host.

I would highly encourage folks to take advantage of this property if you are in the region.
