Vacation rentals near Whittaker Woods Golf Course

Beachglass Cottage is your typical cute lake cottage, in the best possible way. The kitchen is large, the living room is comfortable, and there is plenty of room for multiple guests. We loved the back patio and front enclosed porch. We have a sentior dog so the fewer the steps the better, and Beachglass fit the bill perfectly. 10/10, would stay again.

The nook is just perfect. It has plenty of space for everyone. We were 13 and never felt squeezed throughout the week. It is super clean and the kitchen is very well equiped (for true, not like some other places where you only have the very basics...). The kids had a lot of fun in the game room. The yard is huge, we even played baseball (with the kids obviously, still too small for grown-ups !) The property is well situated in a quiet neighbourhood. The state park has some nice trails but they did not allowed swimming some days while it was in the national park just beside. So we headed to the national park most of the time. There is a bike path to the state park but none to the national park. However if you go by bike, the state park passe only lets 1 person in and you need to pay for each person. If you go by car, everyone in the car will get in with the same pass. So we ended up leaving the bikes behind for that. There are other bike trails but we didn't explore much. If you want to spend a lot of time in Chicago, it might be a bit far but still feasible. It was not the case for us, we stayed close most of the time. All in all, a very fun week. The nook was even better than expected. It is a sure call to rent here !
