Vacation rentals near New England Maple Museum

Two good friends stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend for the archery event at Pico mountain. The location is amazing, right at the base of the mountain next to the main chalet. Kitchen amenities were better stocked than most rental places, lots of knives, cutting boards, and other cooking equipment. Unit was clean and comfortably furnished. Host was good with communication. We would definitely stay here again.

We were so impressed with the property. Everything was clean and bright. The home was meticulously maintained and we felt very much at home. Pride of ownership is very evident. We wish we could have stayed longer but we were only in Vermont for a few days. If we make it back in the area, we will be sure to look into booking again. to

Once again (4th time renters), my husband and I had a relaxing stay at this cottage. It’s perfect for a couples getaway. The cottage is exactly as described but better. Lots of natural light because of all the windows and although no air conditioning, we never felt like it was too warm, and we’ve been there during heatwaves with high humidity. The kitchen, though small has everything you need. There’s even spices, olive oil and balsamic vinegar so it’s pretty easy to do your own cooking. The one large bedroom is a spiral staircase, so if you have difficulty with stairs this may not be for you, but we didn’t mind it a bit. The hardest part is getting the suitcase up and down, but otherwise no issues. The dock is great, getting morning sun but nice and shady in the afternoon. We loved kayaking in the early morning when the lake was oh so still and quiet. The floating loungers were great to relax on the water and cool down. We saw ducks, geese, herons and a bald eagle, so lots of nature to see. I’m sure we’ll be back again. P.S. My husband thinks the cottage needs a name like many of the others around the lake, so he’s decided to call it Leaning Cedars Cottage, hence the description of this review.

We had a wonderful time at Sunset Cottage! The cottage is very clean and the hosts have thoughtfully provided everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The covered porch is amazing and a perfect spot to hang out at any time of day and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature on the lake. The location is great and driving distance to many charming VT towns. Thank you for sharing your cozy cottage with us!

The cabin was an excellent choice for a serene and quiet family getaway. The property was secluded and grocery stores were easily accessible. This property is a perfect cabin for a getaway!

The house is very clean and very spacious. We were a group of 8 adults and 1 child and we could all sit together around the kitchen table or in the living room. Plenty of games and DVDs available. The sauna is great. The house is close to many ski resorts so you can enjoy every minute of your stay. Holly and Scott answered all of our questions prior to our arrival within the same day the questions were asked. Thanks for the nice stay !
