Vacation rentals near Mammoth Hot Springs

The little cabin at Electric Peak exceeded our expectations. The location is stunning and so close to Yellowstone. We regularly saw elk nearby and had a family of deer visit the property each evening. My kids were absolutely enchanted! Todd, our host, was super responsive and friendly! The cabin is well stocked and cozy. Perfect for boardgames and movies after a long day of exploring the park.

The cabin was beautiful and well situated in the forest. Quiet and so peaceful! We had a lot of rain so weren't able to enjoy the outdoor amenities which were cute. Very welcoming and there's everything you could want - even the fireplace was prepped for a fire! Lots of space! I'm an experienced fire pit user so managing the fireplace in the daytime was easy but didn't know how to set the damper to keep warm overnight. We didn't have internet most of the time so written instructions would be helpful to be added. We drove a minivan which was not really suited for this road and the tires were slipping on the last incline to the cabin. It may have been just the weather and, obviously, the road is not the fault of the property owner. The 6 miles up to the cabin will take about 20-25 minutes drive time each way and we hadn't realized that.

This place is like a home away from home - the perfect place to return to after a long day of sightseeing. We loved being able to cook some meals for ourselves and relax on the deck in the evenings. Everything was neat and clean, but very comfortable. We loved the location; it was great listening to the river at night and it's within easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Gardiner. Marie and Jim were friendly and helpful hosts. River's Edge Property is truly wonderful! Beautiful, Extremely clean, every amenity you could possibly need and spectacular views. My sons and daughter in law love to cook and the kitchen is the most well equipped ever. Such a joy to prepare meals! It was really great to spend day in the park and come home to such a terrific home...Loved sitting on the deck, fishing on property, (actually caught 5 nice size fish) and watching the stars at night! Tara was always available to answer all questions and Frank gave us great tips on where to find bears! This was truly a fabulous vacation for the 6 of us creating memories which will last forever. Accurate described, very good location to visit Yellowstone. A cozy house, helpful owner. However, my future next visit, I have to bring my own tin foil, Saran warp & braking pan.
