Holiday rentals near University of Tours

Our stay at Marie-Noëlle's was just perfect. We travelled with our two kids, aged 5 & 2, there was lots of beautiful outdoor space for them to play; plus the trampoline & all-weather pool which was more than we could have hoped for. She was so welcoming & had thought of everything for the kids - even a night light in their bedroom. A short car trip away, we could access everything we needed - boulangerie, supermarché, pharmacy etc. And we were a really short drive to the amazing city of Tours with all it has to offer. Marie-Noëlle helped us plan our time there - she let us know when the loacl food markets were, helped us organise a boat trip on Le Cher etc. Plus knew all the local things for kids: zoo, aquarium, mini-train etc. She even delivered us fresh pastries on our first morning! We had our own space plus designated outdoor area. It was a beautiful oasis of calm & it was a real wrench to leave after a week there. We would highly recommend & hope to return one day soon. Just the right size and so convenient for visiting the area.Very useful to have an boulangerie within walking distance. Saturday market and small supermarket in the village, as well as one a few miles away. Our hosts were so friendly and exceptionally helpful. Thanks Valerie and Jean- Pierre.

The Gite is very cosy with a good outdoor pool. It is in a great central location for visiting the towns and Châteaux of the Loire while being within easy walking distance of Château de Villandry and village. The owners are helpful and were very responsive.

The photos and details on Vrbo don’t do this property justice. It is much bigger than it appears with a lovely high ceiling living space, well decorated with everything you need including books, board games sports games (table tennis, basketball, badminton and boules). The garden is lovely, we enjoyed it in the company of the three ducks, the chickens and the cats – really cool. The location is great for Tours, Chateau (we went to Villandry and Chenonceau – both great!) and walking (see Walks in Loire Valley ). If you like zoos Zooparc Beauval is an hours drive, a really attractive zoo with baby Giant Panda’s, white tiger, gorilla’s, lions, a fantastic bird show and manatees (our favourites!). To top it off, Petra and Pascal are great hosts, friendly, very helpful, really good at keeping in touch and providing information – thanks, we had a great time!

We found 81 Bis to be a perfect location with plenty to do within a few miles of our base. The apartment was well equipped with views over the garden on 2 sides and parking for our car plus safe storage for the bikes. Shopping within easy reach and the beautiful city of Tours just 12 miles away. For us the bed was very hard and not to our liking but it might well suit other people. We are both 72 and enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you
