Holiday rentals near Vourvoulos Beach

This is the ultimate villa stay in Santorini, a beautiful cave house with the best caldera and sunset view you could wish for. It's also quiet which can be hard to find in the heart of Oia, yet a 2 minute walk to the very heart of things. The host, Judith, is fantastic - nothing was too much trouble, she was so helpful but completely unobtrusive. We will definitely be back, we loved it!

The villa was perfect for our party of 6 adults and one three year old. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Stavroula organised cars to be delivered to the villa ( which I think is a must as everything is quite a walk away) and also a private chef to come on our last evening which turned out to be the highlight of our trip! The whole experience was wonderful. Thank you to Bora, the housekeeper for keeping everything looking beautiful, to Stavroula for answering any queries we had so quickly and to chef Nita for her amazing food. We were sad to leave.

Felt very Greek and the Tasos Tavern next door was such a great place for dinner! Loved the family owned Tavern; great authentic food and loved their desserts!!

This apartment was exactly what we had hoped for - 30 seconds walk from a beautiful black beach with lots of open area. The apartment is lovely - very clean and has everything you need down to a few nice touches such as beach toys (bat/ball, some inflatables), towels. There are very good cooking and laundry facilities. The veranda is really nice, allowing us to sit outside in the evening. It has comfy seats and plenty of space for the whole family. The checkin was a delight with Kostas' parents taking us through everything and making sure we have everything we need. Check out was equally as easy with the parents arriving to see that everything was ok and wish us well on our way. We were 5 - 2 adults and 2 teens and a child and all were very comfortable. I really do recommend this place to anyone - couple wanting quiet getaway to family wanting a nice safe place to stay with plenty of restaurants, mini-markets and a fab beach away from the main crowds. We used buses to get around with the nearest stop in Perivolos - about 10 mins walk away Our tip - walk to Perissa if you want more action during the day and then come back to the tranquility of the beach house later.

Fantastic early October week! It felt as though we had the best location on the whole island with breathtaking views and with privacy but with the whole island in easy reach. And it felt like we were coming home to relax each day after visiting the more crowded parts of the island. The house and the mature gardens are every bit as special as the listing indicates. The view, right on the edge of the caldera, is absolutely stunning and the terrace is completely unoverlooked. We made sure we were back by sunset each day. I can't believe any other spot offers such a good view of the sun sinking directly into the sea. The house itself is ideal for a large group. All 6 bedrooms have en-suites (or their own bathroom). And it's so rare to find a house where every bedroom has ample storage space. Irini's delicious and enormous meal the first night was a perfect way for us to relax after a long journey. As Avtar had warned us with an October stay, it got windy on a couple of days and the pool is a bit chilly when the weather's below 25 degrees. But there are sheltered parts of the terrace and the temperature didn't stop us having a swim most days. Megalochori is a picture perfect Greek village with excellent restaurants and tavernas. And last but not least the open air cinema at Kamari is a must see.

Just imagine, you wake up in Paradise, between the boundless sea turning into a horizon with sleeping islands resembling the backs of huge fish in front of your house, the rays of the rising sun cast bizarre shadows from a small belfry and sky blue light fills all of you, caught between the sea and sky in a majestic silence, where, like in fabulous dreams, small white houses nestled on a rocky slope. If people lived in nests - they would live on Santorini... As for property - it’s an example of harmony of style, place, colour and spirit of Oia. Everything like mentioned on the web page, but much better because of very kind care of Maria - owner and spiritual apartment keeper and Sunil - her assistant, who are ready to help you whatever and whenever you need. Just try to stay in Blue Cave once, you will be looking to come back again, treasuring in your memories the feeling you have experienced there. Will definitely recommend!

We stayed in Villa Filon for a week in August and must say it was a brilliant holiday, the Villa surpassed all expectations and Sharron (the owner) was extremely helpful, If I travel to Santorini again I will certainly be booking this property.
