Holiday rentals near Papadiamantis House

We have just spent a glorious week at Villa Nina. The accommodation was fabulous, amazing views and a great pool, with different areas to sit out and soak up those views. Nina and her husband Argiris were very helpful and ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible, providing options for a water taxi from Skiathos and car hire on the island. We would definitely return, we had a fantastic week in Skopolos.

We couldn’t have wished for more - so thoughtfully and attractively appointed inside and outside. The choice of seating areas, each with its own magic, was so lovely. The gardens, terraces and pool area are beautifully planted and set out. You would never tire of any of the wonderful views from the villa. We really enjoyed the large outdoor kitchen just about every evening. The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms on the lower floor were again so attractive in an understated way. Great location with fabulous views. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Car essential - up a steep track at the farthest point of the island from airport and Skiathos town. The setting of the accommodation, in skillfully landscaped surroundings is magical. Everything was spotlessly clean, well equipped and simply, comfortably and tastefully furnished. Delightful private outside sitting areas. Glorious swimming pool. The stunning northern beaches(within 10mins drive) are backed by protected pine forests and are significantly quieter than those on the south of the island. Gail is very welcoming and offered suggestions on places to visit and excellent recommendations on where to eat. She is a talented artist and her eye for detail is evident everywhere. She was happy to share recollections of her fascinating time living there since the 1970’s and her local knowledge is encyclopaedic. Last week of September and it was blue sky from start to finish and 25-28 degrees - perfect! We would have loved to stay longer so will have to make a return visit!

Everything about our stay was relaxed, easy and enjoyable. The pool area was a big draw for us as it is larger than most we viewed, perfect for our teenagers to splash around and get in laps. The grounds are extensive and the property is spacious, meaning there was plenty of space to relax and either socialise or have a quiet moment. The interior is simple and clean. When we had a problem with air con in one room it was addressed and fixed quickly. Overall it met all our expectations and gave us what we love about Greek islands, smells, sounds and tranquility.

As per previous reviews, this is a wonderfully quiet and secluded spot. But rather than repeat all the other well deserved plaudits, with which i agree wholeheartedly, I'll just add the following. My family and i have stayed at many lovely, private holiday spots over the years and been perfectly satisfied. However, we've never felt the need to return to any; until now. We will be back to Skiathos and will stay here again. Thank you Gail.

Stamatis is a very kind and helpful host and goes above and beyond to help. We were met at the airport, where I picked up a car, we followed Stamatis back to the property. He took some of our luggage for us. The villa is lovely and has everything you need. It has the great views of the sea and the end of the runway. The airport is not a problem as very few planes arrive and depart, and it’s great to see them taking off and landing. There are 3 good size bedrooms, one with a bathroom and one additional bathroom. Outside space is fantastic – the terrace has a BBQ on it and coals and firelighters were provided. The pool is lovely. Skiathos is a small island, but we felt a car was good to have, though it looked like there were plenty of buses and taxis. There are two or three good tavernas very nearby within walking distance. We followed many of the walking trails around the island, which are mapped and waymarked pretty well.

Lovely clean little villa in quiet location with spectacular views over the port and town. Very friendly host. We would strongly recommend your own transport however as, although only 2km to Skiathos Town and all its excellent amenities, the villa is positioned towards the top of a very steep hill. We will definitely be planning a return stay.

We had such an amazingly relaxing time at this villa within beautiful surroundings. It was so quiet you could hear the sea at night. The views were stunning. Will definitely stay again
