Menton houses

We have first visited this outstanding place back in 2016 as a couple, and this year we went back together with our son :)! It is way more beautiful than the pictures can capture it! It has luxury, privacy, comfort, convenience and security. And the best of all are the host, Yung and Bernard who are welcoming, kind, and hospitable! This is the only holiday place we have been twice and it will not be the last! :) S,F&A

Had a fantastic time at the property. Hosts were wonderful, very thoughtful and accommodating. Property was very clean and well maintained.

This is a beautiful French home, attractively decorated and very comfortable, in a quiet and peaceful part of the beautiful town of Menton, overlooking a wooded valley with views leading down to the sea. Brigitte was a fantastic host. The house was well equipped, she made sure that we had everything that we needed for the holiday and then left us to enjoy. Access to the house was a small, fairly steep path, about a 3 minute walk from parking. It added to the charm but, as Brigitte says in the listing, wouldn't work for anyone with accessibility requirements. There is a path into the main town but it's steep and we're not very fit! As it was the school holidays, we parked outside the school below, at the bottom of the hill. The town beaches were clean and the swimming was lovely. We were there at the height of summer so the Plage de Sablettes, in front of the old town, was busy, but the others weren't as full. The old town is at the other end of Menton so it's a pretty long walk through the town but there are lots of car parks around. There are pretty lanes to explore and lots of restaurants throughout the town, those in the tourist areas and on the seafront are fairly pricey. The best supermarket we found was the Intermarché above the school. The SNCF train station is about a 20-25 min walk away and the train service all along the coast is amazing and really good value for exploring. Lovely welcoming hosts Hafid and Kristelle. Lovely clean well equipped villa on split level ground floor. We enjoyed the well sized pool and outdoor kitchen, and cooked several meals on the excellent plancha. When outside some distant road noise noticeable from A8 but didn’t bother us, we played some jazz music on excellent outside Bluetooth speaker. An easy winding drive down to Menton, and we did try the bus a couple of times too. All in all we really enjoyed our week, spending time in and around Menton and an easy day visit to Monaco on the train - so much to see and do there too!

The host sophie and her father were really welcoming we didn’t even arrive until midnight and they were still happy to show us accommodation They had put food in fridge ready for our first breakfast larger wine and Champaigne which was great fully received The accommodation was clean and inviting home from home We had a wonderful relaxing break Thanks Sophie

Excellent villa - well equipped and comfy beds - spotlessly clean and owners are extremely helpful and attentive- highly recommend
