The cottage was beautiful decorated to a very good standard and well equipped to make us feel welcome and relaxed on our holiday. The site is very peaceful and well located within walking distance of the pretty town of Yarmouth. Everything is accessible on lovely Isle of Wight and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Our favourite place to visit was Osborne House. Next time we will come for a week.
Really lovely holiday home on a quiet gated estate. Everything was painted white which emphasised the feel of cleanliness, light and space. Ensuite bathroom to main bedroom, and additional downstairs loo, were lovely surprises. As was the dishwasher and well equiped kitchen. Lovely clean bedlinen and towels.Great location just outside Yarmouth which had lovely pubs, cafe, shops, pier and harbour. It looks like the estate is being expanded/facilties renovated, but that didn't interfere with our stay. My only comment was it took a while for us to find the cottage, a note that the cottage is in Zone D (pink) would help clarify the instructions. Also when booking it wasn't explained that the cottage is on the far side of the site from the carpark, so we had to carry our bags a long way, which might not be ideal for anyone not fit and strong.
The interior of the property was beautifully presented. There were plenty of plates, cups and utensils. There was also a comprehensive handbook for the property with a useful summary page
Unfortunately , communication between myself and Vrbowas lacking. I had arrived on the Isle of Wight to discover that payment had not been taken even though I had a booking confirmation. I was only told in response to query about how to access the property. Consequently I had to spend time on the phone sorting this out.
We were delighted to be able to stay at Byecross for Christmas having stayed a couple of years ago and loved it. The house was nicely (Christmas) decorated for us which was a lovely touch. We were a large group so it was great having lots of space to spread out over the hectic few days we had! Christmas dinner wasn’t an issue with the Aga once we got used to it. The kids all loved the activities including lots of tennis and particularly table tennis competitions. Next time we would love to come in the summer so we can finally make use of the pool! Thanks again for fab break.
From start to finish we had a brilliant experience! The Chalet offers a fantastic home-away-from-home stay. Everything you require is provided. Sitting on the patio enjoying a sea-view breakfast or a sundowner in the evening was special. Can't wait to return here!
