Stayed here during RIAT25 at RAF Fairford. Was pleasantly surprised how great this little gem was. Youre away from any main road traffic so car noise is none existant. The host Tom left a fresh load of bread, some butter and fresh milk upon arrival. Wood for the open fire enough for the 3 nights I was there. This place id say would also be ideal for a romantic time away for any couple, extremely comfortable for 2 people. All facilities and strong wifi signal, plus tv with amazon/netflix etc. All in all id give this place a 10/10 and hope to stay here again.
We were a group of five friends who wanted to explore Devizes and beyond. The property is located in the Old Wadsworth Brewery building (the new one is a stones throw) next to the Market Place. Tucked away from the road it made for a relaxed and quiet experience. The property is located a short walk from the Kennet & Avon Canal which leads to the Caen Hill locks - all 29 of them! Also at the Market place is the Bus "Island". Take the 49 with it's scenic route across the downs to Swindon. It also stops in Avebury for the Stones and the Manor House & Garden.Devizes is a brewery town (Wadsworths) but we preferred the Pour Inn Micropub located just off the Market Place. We also enjoyed the Muck & Dunder (Rum bar) and 1 Spice Indian Restaurant. The Ostrich Naga curry was amazing! There are a range of cafes all around for coffees and breakfast. The property itself easily hosted five blokes and was spotless on arrival. It had all the amenities in the kitchen, bathrooms & in the living room you would want - and more! The are are three bedrooms (one with a king-size bed and en-suite) as well as two with twins beds. The beds were extremely comfortable and ample bedding and towelling were supplied. There was a nice outside space which we also relaxed in. The host's communications skills were second to none during the booking process and during our stay.We enjoyed ourselves so much that we planning on staying in this property again next year - if the host would have us!!!
Thank you so much for such a clean, quiet, peaceful and fabulous stay. My partner had stars in her eyes when she saw the property’s peaceful surrounding; my mother in law was able to wander around freely and was grateful for her own bathroom; my younger sister absolutely loved the cleanliness and tranquility; and I loved the fact that everyone else loved it as much as I did - so much so, they want to come back and stay for longer next time. Thank you times a million.
