Very good on all axes of evaluation

Lovely apartment in the historical centre of Orta. Niccolò was a very friendly and helpful host. A good place to stay for travelling around the lake and parking was very easy. Any saxophonist will be interested to hear we visited Rampone Cazzoni saxophone factory in Quarna Sotto high above the lake.

We had a lovely, relaxed stay on Lake Orta. Mariagrazia and her agent were very communicative and eased the handover on arrival. The property was spotless and faultless in all respects with ample living space indoors and outdoors, and the kitchen was well stocked... the kayaks and table tennis in the basement were a bonus. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and walking to the local restaurants and bars. Bravo Mariagrazia!

We loved the traditional features of this converted old house . It was comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well equipped with mini oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher and had everything we needed. The split level apartment layout was quirky with 1 bedroom and sofa bed in the hallway- this lead out onto the patio. Down a spiral staircase is the kitchen with sofa bed. This lead outside and up some steps to the patio where we had our own table and chairs over looking the pretty garden with beautiful clean pool. We are family with teenagers but the steps may be a problem for less mobile people or young children - also pools in Italy are not fenced. There is a traditional village grocery store a few minutes walk through the quaint streets of Vacciago and a couple of restaurants about 20 mins walk. The lovely town of San Giulio on lake Orta is a short drive away where we hired kayaks and paddle boards and ate out. Ilaria the manager was very friendly and helpful - her English was excellent and she was available for any questions or advice. We would definitely return.

Have just returned from a truly wonderful week at Villa Cometa. The property is very clean and wonderfully furnished throughout with all the comforts for a great holiday. Cosimo is a great host and was available at all times for help and advice during our stay. We all really enjoyed our stay and would love to return as soon as possible. Thank you Cosimo!

Lake Orta is beautiful and the view from the apartment simply stunning with the island centre stage.The accomodation clean and well equipped although perhaps could benefit from more comfortable seating for those lazy evenings.Nicolo and Maria were extremely welcoming and helpful and did their best to ensure our stay was enjoyable. It certainly was. A fantastic ice cream parlour only steps away and a couple of pizzerias and a good restaurant a matter of yards.Ferries and water taxis on the doorstop but car hire advisable to explore the wider fantastic scenery. Our stay at I Faggi was a truly wonderful experience & Patricia's enthusiastic welcome made us feel like long lost friends. She greeted us with many thoughtful gifts which was so generous of her, unexpected and unique. The accommodation was very tasteful and comfortable and we had everything we could have needed and much more besides. The local supermarket in nearby Gignese might have been small but it is superbly stocked - brilliant! We especially appreciated the breathtaking views and the tranquility at I Faggi and were extremely reluctant to leave. We will return!
