Holiday rentals near Church of Saint Victor

This was our second visit to the Yellow House which says it all.

Gorgeous villa. Beautiful pool and stunning views. Very high quality interior. Well stocked kitchen. Great touches like beach towels, welcome wine and biscuits, toiletries in the bathrooms etc. Very good communication, very responsive to all queries. Very smooth check in and check out. Would highly recommend. We will definitely return again!

We were a party of 11 people including my six year old grandson. The villa itself exceeded our expectations and we were thrilled with its spaciousness. The kitchen was fully kitted out with everything you might need. The bedrooms were beautifully clean, light and airy and air-conditioned, which was a blessing as the the outside temperatures were almost unbearable during the day. Some family members ventured out each day, but we all enjoyed relaxing at the villa and by the pool, which, incidentally, is huge and in the late afternoon its temperature was like bathwater! There is a shallow end of the pool but our six year old couldn't touch the bottom which is something to bear in mind if you have little ones. He was more than happy playing on the steps and jumping into the waiting arms of various aunties and uncles though. On our last night, we'd all run out of steam and made a last minute decision to order a meal to be delivered. Orietta managed to produce enough food for nine people including two vegetarians at very short notice which was superb. Finally, the communications with the owner and Noemi, who was our go to in Avigliano, were first class. Nothing was too much trouble and any questions were answered promptly. If you are considering Il Greggio, we would all highly recommend it. It's not cheap but it is worth it.

A fantastic property situated just outside the walls of Amelia. Comfortable and very well equipped. Pool is fantastic and we very much enjoyed our stay. Great to be within walking distance of bars, restaurants etc and easy to get to Perugia, Assisi etc. Communication with the host was very easy and would highly recommend. We would love to return in the future.

We really loved our holiday at Meridolio. The house is so well equipped and perfect for a multi generational family. We loved exploring the local villages and the many superb restaurants. The local train station also made it easy for visits to Rome and for getting to and from the airport. Jeanette and Francesco could not have been more helpful; when our family arrived at the airport and there was no car seat for our toddler grandson somehow they found one for us and delivered it to the house within hours! This is a beautiful property, on the side of the mountain. You reach it via a twisting mountain road very narrow in places . Scenery is breathtaking, changing from scrub to dense forest. If you use the location on the HomeAway map for this property it literally takes you to the property. It is behind big black gates oh the right hand side . Although the apartment is underneath the owners villa it is as if you are on your own . The owner is so friendly, but never intrusive. The apartment is very clean , bathroom, kitchen / dining room/ living room and a good size bedroom. All traditionally decorated. The view from the bed agin is for hundreds of miles and there is a gravel are out side with tables an chairs . Lovely in the late evening as it’s out of the blazing sun but you can watch incredible sunsets! The swimming pool is absolutely spotless and beautifully maintained. It is at a higher level to the apartment accessible via a private path and a few steps . The pool has a very deep end and a good length so you can have a proper swim . The view from the sun loungers beside the pool are incredible and you see for hundreds of miles , beautiful. The pool is totally private use for the appointment, although next to the villa but total privacy is respected by the owner . There is one village about 2 km down the mountain which has an excellent village shop , fresh fruit and veg , super meats cheeses breads wine . If you want the ultimate peace and quite this is the place for you , total seclusion. The owner gives you a key to the front gate so you can come and go as you want. She also has the most magnificent Labrador dog who is super friendly! Wonderful holiday !!
