Saint-Paul-de-Vence rentals with pool

Excellent.

Lovely villa in beautiful part of France. Genial host who, because he lives in an apartment next to the villa, was always around to answer questions or offer suggestions e.g. visit Monaco by train rather than driving there. The downstairs air conditioning and pool were much appreciated in the exceptionally hot weather.

Really enjoyed our stay in the amazing villa . Everything you could need , amazing outside area and large pool. Great communication and will definitely stay again 5 stars

We loved every minute of our stay at La Sonine. Beautifully laid out, spacious, airy and cool, it was the perfect spot for our group of six adults. The pool area is lovely and got lots of daily use during our stay, along with the brilliantly easy to use gas barbecue and blissfully shady chill-out lounge area. One of our favourite aspects of the holiday was walking into St Paul de Vence for morning bakery supplies and coffee in the bustling cafe at the bottom of the hill. Stunning views along the way. We also loved the proximity to the Maeght Foundation - a gorgeous gallery in amazing grounds - and to Nice for the Monday brocante in Cours Saleya, plus more galleries and our favourite restaurant, Le Galet right on the beach in Promenade des Anglais. The house itself - clearly a very much-loved family home - is thoughtfully and tastefully designed, with ample space for everyone and air conditioning to keep it cool in the heat. Fabulously well equipped kitchen for big family meals enjoyed on the terrace at lunch and in the evenings with candles and great garden lighting. We can’t praise La Sonine and it’s very helpful and knowledgeable owners Tim and Juliet enough. We’d love to come back one day soon. Thank you for a magical and memorable holiday.

The Villa is really well appointed and has a lovely homely feel. Beds are so comfortable and we loved the fact that there are kitchen staples you can use and then add to. True hospitality. The pool was a great asset as it was very hot during our stay. We hired a car and so we’re able to drive to the village to go to one of the mss as my lovely restaurants. Defo recommend car hire - we had hoped to use public transport as we usually fo but this would have been difficult. So close to Nice airport too.

We had a wonderful week at Isabelle’s lovely house. All the mod cons, a bathroom each. The outdoor setup is fantastic, outside barbee, wonderful table, chairs in so many spots and the best pool for us. Had sundowners in the master bedroom balcony to watch the sunset. It’s less than 2 miles to St Paul de Vence walled village, which is well worth a visit. Do see the Folon chapel next door to the church. Also a quick drive to Matisse chapel in Vence and Renoir house in Nice. Took a day to go to the Rothschild house and Monaco. But a Tully would have been happy to stay in the house all week!!

Our 2 families ( 4 adults and 4 older teenagers ) have stayed in Saint Paul for a week annually since 2012. We have stayed in several properties but this is without doubt the best. Larger than the description suggests and in an exceptional location. Very personable and responsive owner and manager. Very much a family feel. Reluctant to be too effusive because we really would like this property to be our annual escape to Saint Paul and could do without competition! 😂
