Great place to stay, we were cooked a delicious meal

We had a nice relaxing time at Khomba. We were looked after very well by the resident staff. The standard of cooking was exceptional. The house is located with a beach accessed directly from the property. The area is very quiet with hotels on each side now closed after the pandemic and returning to nature. Another hotel close by has a fantastic pool which is available to use. There were a couple of basic bicycles which we used to cycle around the local villages. The accommodation is of a good standard and very comfortable with plenty of room for relaxation. There is fast WiFi available.

This holiday way exceed our expectations, Sandul Villa is wonderful, it felt like home, Senaka and his team were vey attentive and catered for our every wish. The food at breakfast and dinner is exceptional, why go out for dinner when this is available. Thank you Senaka we will be back and soon.

The property is located right by a pretty, unspoilt beach with wonderful sea views from the first floor balcony off the master bedroom. The coconut trees provide plenty of shade from the hot sun and the pool is large and very clean. The gym and massage room are a great addition. The team of 4 staff keep the house and garden spotless and Pradeep and Tharaka were a great help to us while we were there. Renu provided tasty meals as required. The kitchen is small with a 2 gas ring hob (no microwave or oven).There are lots of restaurants in walking distance from the villa. The sea is very rough in front of the villa but it is possible to swim behind the breakwater about 5 mins walk along the beach or in a sheltered bay a short tuktuk drive away.. Kayaking in the mangrove lagoon behind the villa is a fun experience. Well located for sightseeing or pure relaxation. We spent a fabulous 5 weeks there doing a bit of everything.

The Reef House was absolutely perfect for our family. Siri the chef cooked well up to good restaurant standard and went to the market to get fresh locally sourced food. Chattu looked after the cleaning, bed making and putting out the sun beds etc. There was a great little bar 15ft from the gate that made great cocktails and we also had our breakfast there although Siri would have done it. The people were so friendly and there were Tuk Tuks about 100 yards away. We snorkelled with the turtles and the driver (Ajith) was always on hand to take you anywhere ( Galle and Tea plantation) as well as dropping us back to the airport. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back.

This was our second stay at Villa Golden. What can I say that hasn’t already been said in other reviews. It’s wonderful. The villa is very comfortable. The gardens are lovely. The pool is a great size. The location is right on the beach. Small bars and restaurants are a few mins walk away. We recommend Happy Hour at Sadun and Bara Beach Home. Galle is a ten minute Tuk Tuk ride away. Uber is also available if you prefer a little more comfort. We ate at the Church Street Social in Fort Bazar Hotel- it’s classy and gorgeous. Arabella is next door but one and offers amazing food and service. The real stars of the show are the wonderful Staff at Villa Golden. You could not wish for more friendly, helpful and welcoming people. Your every whim will be catered for with a smile. Susantha, Pushpa, Yasiru and Milani are great hosts. The food they prepare is delicious and the best we’ve eaten during our stay. Pushpa’s Sri Lankan omelettes for breakfast are a great way to start the day. The curries are amazing. The owner Bart is very helpful. Booking was easy. Messages are responded to very quickly. The only bad thing about Villa Golden is that at some point you will have to leave .....

A spacious relaxing villa nestled in the countryside and away from the hustle and bustle. All the facilities you could ever need in kitchen and bathrooms along with spacious bedrooms and lounge as well as a fabulous pool for swimming and lounging around. The villa is supported by a group of friendly and attentive staff. The gardens are kept immaculately by Isuru with plenty of fresh fruit and wildlife without leaving the grounds. A highlight of our stay was the 'Master Chef' Susil who was very humble and friendly yet extremely skilled. He cooked for us daily, asking us what we would like but also suggesting and creating delicious combinations - providing us with sumptuous banquets of fresh Sri Lankan and western food - post holiday diet definitely required after all that amazing food. The villa manager Shami and part owner Sudu were friendly, helpful. They were on hand to advise and answer any questions as well as organising and accompanying us on local and distance trips. A short tuk tuk or car ride away are local markets, waterfall, turtle sanctuaries, great beaches and plenty of water sports and when we did want to go further afield to the elephant sanctuary, Galle or Kandy it was easy to organise with Shami and Sudu. We had a fantastic 2 weeks here mixing lazy days by the pool with days of sight seeing. Airport pick up and return went smoothly and we had a fabulous holiday in the capable hands of Tara Gardens.

My wife spent the last 8 nights of our touring holiday at The Green Parrot villa. If you are looking at a relaxing stay this is the place. Magnificent villa with lovely grounds and private swimming pool. This opens out to the beach and sea which was completely empty every day. Every morning we were served a lovely breakfast by the two lovely ladies. The options for eating out here are limited so every night we opted for the curry cooked superbly by the ladies. Some of the best curries we have had. Sudath vists every day to make sure all is ok and arranges a local tuk tuk guy to take you to town which has everything you would want. Very friendly local lad takes over at 5pm from the ladies and serves the food. All in all one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed in. Faultless
