Holiday rentals near CR7 Museum

Our first visit to this gorgeous island. The villa was well equipped, very clean and had amazing views. Jorge and his family were very helpful and friendly. There are a couple of restaurants and a small shop that are walkable but everything else is a drive away so would recommend a hire car as essential. We had an amazing holiday and would love to return someday.

A comfortable apartment with good facilities. The host who lives below the property was very friendly and helpful. The road up to the property is rather narrow but manageable with care and the off-road parking space was useful. There are shops within walking distance for supplies but it was nice and quiet. The location is good for visiting the whole island. The veranda space with views down to the sea is definitely the highlight.

This is the second time we have stayed at Casa Das Flores. Its great. Spacious, clean and really well appointed. Great location and so quiet too. We simply love it and we will return. Thanks Camilla - look forward to booking again soon.

We had a brilliant 2 week stay at the villa. The views from the balconies were amazing both day and night. The house was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need! The beds were extremely comfortable. The house is up a windy road and you do have to park on the road but we had no issues at all. Thank you!

The villa is perfect if you want a quiet holiday away from noisy neighbours. It’s extremely private and not overlooked. The Villa has 2 bedrooms on the upper floor with a bathroom and there’s a 3rd bedroom downstairs again with a full bathroom. Outside there’s an amazing pool well heated ( was 27-29C while we were there). There is also an outdoor kitchen area with a shower and toilet to save walking through the house with wet feet. Pool towels and bath towels were provided. The villa gets sun from early morning through to sunset, we were there late June for 12 days and had 10 full days of sun and 2 half days. Manuel does a lot of work in the adjoining mango tree orchards so we met regularly. Nothing was ever a problem. There are 2 chickens and a rooster ( don’t worry you can hardly hear the rooster when it crows). Trying to find eggs daily was a fun activity as on 10 of the 12 days the chickens didn’t lay eggs in their pen lol. Practice your hill starts if driving a car as Madeira has a lot of twisty steep roads. We loved it so much we have already reserved the villa for next year. Thank you Manuel for your hospitality. The apartment was amazing, the view from the living room and the balcony was 10 star rating, actually the whole apartment is aswell, Rose Marie had everything you needed and more she greeted us at the apartment, then showed us around gave us loads of information about supermarket's, trips,other area's of interest. I would highly recommend this amazing apartment to stay at,to visit this fantastic island of Maderia

We enjoyed our fortnight here last summer so much that we booked it again and stayed for another two weeks this year. It is a stunningly beautiful property with huge rooms that are well furnished plus a lovely heated swimming pool. We learned our lesson last year and hired a more powerful car this year which made it so much easier negotiating the steep hill and hairpin bends to access the property

Great property - just beautiful views. Pool was fabulous. Village lovely. Close to the lovely beach and dolphin watching at Calheta; reasonably easy to access Funchal for days out with a hire car. The only downside (and it was quite significant) was the road closure to Jardim do Mar. Not only did this increase travel times each day, we had a very difficult 10 minute descent and ascent each day. Hiring a car and driving on the right was harrowing enough, but the sharp bends and sheer drops caused panic. It took the week to get used to the route. We would use the property again, but only when the diversion is eradicated. The locals are used to such roads, but oversees visitors may find this very overwhelming. I’m a confident driver but this drive worried me.
