Holiday rentals near Camera Obscura

We loved our stay in this beautifully renovated house set in a picturesque and peaceful valley, but only a short drive to Tavira and the coast. Angie and Jonny are ideal hosts, welcoming and friendly, and always available to deal with any issues or requests. The house is spacious, well equipped and comfortable, with plenty of outdoor space, including the pool with a lovely view (though sadly too cold for us at this time of year!) and walks down to the river. We enjoyed the scenic walks up in the hills, especially the cork oak valley. A plentiful supply of logs to keep us warm on cool evenings. And not forgetting the delightful company of Paddy!Thanks Angie and Jonny for creating such a special place. We'll be back!

Wonderful hosts, room ideal for one person. Good location and very peaceful.

A very spacious villa and well equipped. The pool was a good size and the gardens very mature and well kept. The town is within a 10 minute walk.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the villa. The villa is beautiful, well equipped with a lovely pool and garden with various comfortable seating areas. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with cooking utensils. It is in a good position, not far from Faro and Olhão. There is lots to do in the area: We took the ferry from Olhão and walked to a really lovely beach on Aromna Island with lunch at a very good beach cafe. We had a delicious meal in Faro old town and walked into Estoi for some extra food shopping and visited the lovely palace and had an early evening drink in the palace restaurant. We also drove into the mountains and walked the boardwalk and over the suspended bridge in Alferce, near Monchique. We’d love to come back sometime.

A beautiful villa and surroundings and equipped with everything needed for an amazing holiday! Krysia & Russell were fantastic hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommended for a quiet and relaxing break but close enough to all the amenities and less than half an hour away from the airport although you’d never know! Thank you so much!

We have just returned from our stay in The White House.(22 May - 2 June 2018) The house, on three levels, was very clean and the most comfortable beds we have ever had in a rental property. We received a friendly welcome on arrival from Pedro and Rute the local co-hosts for the property. Unfortunately, the weather during our stay was unseasonably cool so were not using the lovely outside garden as often as would have liked. The garden and plunge pool are well maintained, as is the property. It is a short walk to Tavira centre with all the restaurants and shops. Beautifully restored Appartment, close to the centre of town with easy access to restaurants, bars and shops. Spotlessly clean with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and a lovely terrace. The only slight issue is that there is no live TV only a small selection of films to watch. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Tavira and would recommend this Appartment
