Holiday rentals near Casona de Tudanca

We had a fantastic time in San Salvador de Cantamuda, a charming village nestled in the beautiful Montana Palentina. A perfect location from which to immerse yourself in this area with countless walks just a short drive or walk away. The house itself is very comfortable, large shops are about half an hour away but vans come by selling bread, vegetables and other supplies regularly!

Everything about this house is exceptional. Josete was brilliant from booking through to after we left. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he responded immediately to requests. The accommodation is immaculate. The furnishings and décor are beautiful, and we appreciated the art on the walls. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed. There were plentiful books, TVs, games and music equipment to keep everyone entertained. The bedrooms were comfortable and cool even in the heat of summer. The terraces are excellent, and especially useful was the outside shower and hose for cleaning surfboards and wetsuits. The check in process was made easy by Josete’s helpful communication. We had a wonderful stay here, enjoying the peaceful neighbourhood and the sounds of the sea from our bedroom. This is an idyllic house in an idyllic location. We barely used our car, and explored San Vicente on foot. It would be an excellent base for exploring the Picos and Cantabria. We have been staying in Northern Spain every summer since 2018 and renting self-catering accommodation in Italy, France, and the UK for twenty-five years. This is the best place we have ever stayed.

Beautiful balcony overlooking the picos mountains. Surrounded by nature. Comfortable and cosy lodgings. Fresh goodies on arrival, with a very warm welcome. The stay was a treat and a difficult place to leave!

Its a typical asturian stone house. The main atraction for us was the location , a hamlet with no more than 10 houses surrounded by mountains all overooked by the Pico Peñamallera . The house is spotless clean with a great fireplace and all the amenities you need.
