Great apartment - ideal for exploring the Old City. Our host, Yuksel could not have been more helpful

We had a brilliant time. I have travelled to Istanbul many times and like to stay outside of the tourist zone. I knew the area has the best views of the Bosphorus and this is one of the best I have seen in the city. Be warned that, Cihangir is still an "up and coming area", with lots of artists and cool restaurants. You need to want to be here as we did - for Londoners it's like Shoreditch was 15 - 20 years ago. That said, I never felt unsafe walking back from nearby restaurants after dark with young kids.

Great stay at this property. The apartment is just as described and in an amazing location very close to all major sights, but in a district with a very 'local' feel to it. Ugur, our host, was also fantastic, responding very fast to a couple of minor problems (getting washing machine to start, and the bathroom lights tripping out once). Great stay. Highly recommended if you want to stay in the real Istanbul, whilst staying close to everything!

Apartment is located in a old part of Fatih neighborhood, a little difficult to reach even by taxi. Modern, clean premises. Good bathroom and kitchen. WiFi a little fickle. Excellent communication with owner.
