We had a lovely weeks stay in this well equpped cottage. Owners were attentive and checked in a couple of times. Cottage ideally placed for visiting family nearby.

Cheddar and the surrounding area is such a lovely part of the country and the Gatehouse matched that. The bed was large and very comfortable, the lounge perfect for snuggling away the evenings and the shower particuarly good! Parking also could not have been easier. Do note though, a lot of the roads in the area are narrow and twisty without footpaths so a small car is preferable and beware when walking them.

Jon & Debbie were very friendly and welcoming and the property had every modern convenience that you could want. Well happy!

Beatiful, characterful house, wished we were staying longer. Very comfortable. Paticularly appreciated the cotton bedlinen as i dont cope well with synthetic. One to keep in mind for another visit.

The Shepherds Nest is the best Shepherds Hut we’ve stayed in, for space, amenities and for hospitality. It’s well built, furnished to a high standard and there’s a lot of thought gone into everything. Charlie and Carol were really welcoming and there were lots of little touches, and nice surprises on our arrival. The outside bath is great, in all weathers! We’d highly recommend.
