Holiday rentals near York's Chocolate Story

The apartment was perfect in both cleanliness and very well equipped.The only drawback was the position of the key box it is too low down and difficult to be able to see the numbers on the pad.Delivery vans early morning deliveries to the shops beneath the apartment.

The property is in an excellent location. Immaculate and spacious property. Convenient parking. Hosts were very welcoming and communications were very thorough.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in 1 Chapter House Street. It's a beautiful property and much bigger than we expected. The panelled dining room is gorgeous, the lounge is big and spacious with amazing views of the Minster and the three bedrooms are spacious. The fourth Harry Potter themed bedroom is really fun - perfect for a younster. The location could not be better. All the sites of York are in walking diatance. Woild definitely recommend this property.

This was a very interesting property in which to stay, offering both historic features and modern conveniences. We appreciated the effective heating given the cold weather when we were visiting. The property is well-located for sight-seeing in York. We found it to be a perfect family base since we could easily pop back in if someone needed a rest break. The owners have made the property very welcoming, and have curated an invaluable guide to the plethora of things to do and places to eat.

If anything the property description understates how good this place is. Exceptionally well presented and a few minutes walk to all that York has to offer, which is an awful lot. We could not of hoped for a better place to stay

So impressed with the attention to detail with this apartment. We absolutely loved our stay and cant wait to return again!

This apartment was just amazing. The views of the Minster and rooftops of surrounding areas would be hard to beat. We just regretted not booking it for longer than 4 days. We checked to see if it was still available to extend our trip but sadly it wasn’t and we felt no other apartment could beat it so we didn’t want to leave York feeling disappointed. The weather was great so we made good use of the balcony area to enjoy an early morning coffee, listening to the bells of various churches/minster chiming. The check in/out process was so easy. Car park area is a 5 min walk to the apartment so with 2 kids/lots bags it was a bit trickier. For noting you can park anywhere in the council car park once you register with the Yorkstays who manage the apartment but in the welcome pack in the apartment it states you have to park in a specific spot. We panicked and ran back to car park as we didn’t want a ticket but once clarified with the company the welcome pack is outdated and the online info is correct so you can park in any space in Bootham car park. Apartment was really airy and bright, lots of storage. Great powerful shower in en suite. This was our 1st trip to York and it wont be our last. You are right in the heart of York so you do get noise from bars/buskers but with little ones we weren’t out late so it made us feel like we could still be involved with the hustle/bustle of the nightlife. There was a welcome pack on our arrival,lovely gesture. Thank you, we had a lovely time
