Fabulous location

The location of the holiday home is a piece of heaven on earth. We enjoyed watching the ever changing view from the lounge which could also be seen from the master bedroom. The property is comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The shower was fantastic with more than enough hot water for 5 adults. The little shop / cafe opposite serves excellent breakfasts if you can’t be bothered to cook. We didn’t go in the local pub but that is a very short walk away.

The Malabar with large decking area on the front ideal for relaxing on

Beautiful view and location

Wifi and electric is extra and the property isn’t fully double glazed so heating it was expensive as it was pretty cold most days (probably fine in summer). The wifi package ran out the day before we left so there wasn’t much point paying for another, and there was no mobile phone coverage in the area which made communication difficult. There is a phone but needed coins. We also had to fully clean the property before checkout at 9.30 and while not dirty, I’m not sure it had a deep clean in a while. That being said, the owners were really helpful and friendly, and pointed us in the direction of their private rhododendron woods which led to a pretty beach, and gave us a key to a private road leading to Castle Sween. Communications with them were easy and they had a direct free phone number. The estate itself was very picturesque and it was possible to have our dog off lead in some areas which he really enjoyed. We even saw a seal. Nearest shops were 25 or so minutes away so not as far as we expected.

Perfect stay in cosy, clean, well equipped cottage

The cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay. Really clean and welcoming and warm! It was well equipped with everything we needed and the location was great. The cottage was just a few minutes walk to the pub and local shop in the village. Highly recommend!

Lovely house in quiet location

A very pleasant holiday house. There's a spacious conservatory, patio and garden at the back with lovely views over the loch. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a dishwasher. (No washing machine or tumble dryer.) There's no traffic noise. We will probably stay there again.
