Holiday rentals near San Clemente City Beach

From the moment we arrived at Villa Catalia,we realised this was not your typical Holiday let, more of a home from home, clean and tidy with lots of little touches to welcome guests.Shelly and Mark have provided pretty much everything needed to make theirs guests stay a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable one.Travelling from the UK visiting family in Dana Point for many years this was the first time we have rented a property, it was so nice to have somewhere to relax, enjoy the sun and entertain family.The house is very well presented, comfortable beds and bedrooms, lovely bathrooms and ensuites, the kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to entertain, with a lovely breakfast bar, dining room and lounge area.The outside space and garden area is lovely for dining alfresco on the patio surrounded by the scent of the roses, the pool and spa on the upper level of the garden was amazing with pool toys provided.We did not get the opportunity to take up the offer of a cruise on their 'baby yacht' this trip, but there will be other opportunities when we are back in Dana PointEverything was exactly as described, Shelly and Mark were wonderful hosts, we always knew that they were at the end of the phone should we need them and nothing was too much trouble, we really did not want to leave. This property was eveything & more we could have wished for our visit from the UK for a family wedding.Perfect location, a short walk to the pier area and main strip of bars & restaurants.The villa was spotlessly clean, well equipped for a home from home stay.Host was excellent.Really didn't want to leave & would return here tomorrow if we could.Sp

This is our second time to stay at Shan's house, we had a wonderful time. The house has everything you need for a great holiday. It's right beside the beach and restaurants and bars are all in walking distance. Hopefully we will get to visit again. Thank you Shan, for everyhingMarie and family

We stayed 4 nights at Holly's house to round off a 2 week trip around California; it was the perfect place to stop and enjoy the sunshine and surf. The photos don't do it justice. The house is stylish and full of nautical knick knacks that create a lovely holiday feel. The space is well designed and furnished- we loved the big sofa and multiple dining areas, inside and out. We had breakfast on the back patio and I enjoyed the evening sunshine at the front with a glass of wine and view of the ocean. The kitchen was ideal with a good store cupboard of essentials and large choice of tableware. We also used the BBQ and made s'mores which was a holiday highlight for the children as they are much raved about in the UK! For our short stay, it was great to be able to use the beach chairs, parasol, towels and body boards as all our other accommodation was hotels and we didn't want to have to buy it all for a few days use. I felt like a local sat on the beach in the Tommy Bahama sun loungers and am tempted to get some for our UK beach holidays! Location wise; its in the quiet part of Laguna with not many restaurants (Coyote grill was closed during our stay) so we ended up driving down town for more choice. We didn't use the Trolley as we had limited time but the stops were convenient. We walked to Tabletop beach although the waves were too rough for the children so we also went to Aliso and the Strand beach which were a short drive away. Aliso being the easiest as no steps but the Strand was spacious and nestled below amazing mansions! 3 days wasn't long enough, we would love to go back one day!

Janelle's apartment was perfectly located for exploring San Clemente and further afield along the Southern California coastline by road or rail (San Clemente has 2 rail stations, North Beach and The Pier, both within a leisurely walk). The accommodation was very well presented and very clean. Only a short walk to the beach. My wife and I had a great week there and would strongly recommend this property. 5 stars!
