Holiday rentals near Dubois Country Club

We definitely enjoyed our stay here even though we spent a good bit of time out and about looking for elk. It is very comfortable and well furnished. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. Outdoor area is also lovely, but unfortunately it rained a good part of our stay so when we were around we had to spend our time inside. There is games, puzzles, toys for kids, outdoor playhouse, swing. Very nice deck with views of the lake. While i hate to say anything negative about such a lovely place, there was a few things that we discovered during our stay that were less than ideal and the owners should be aware of. 1) the drip coffee maker was very grimy inside, assuming from hard water, so we had to use the Keurig. 2) Air fryer was very greasy inside and had remains of food in it. We didnt use it. 3) 1st time we went to use the bathtub there was hair and grime in it. Gave it a good rinse before i bathed my daughter. 4) For as much i hate to say it, there was zero communication from the host. Never got a response to some questions i had asked prior to arriving. No welcome message. No "thank you for staying" on check out. Not that this is a must but in all my other short term rental vacation stays we received something of the sort. Makes you feel appreciated as a guest. NOT trying to discourage anyone from staying here. You will enjoy it. Just sharing our experience. It was lovely and we enjoyed it. Thnx 4 letting us stay!

My family (myself, my husband and our 9/5 year olds) rented the property with my parents and had the best week. We easily could have had many more people join us and are already thinking about a bigger reunion next year. The house was massive and comfortable and genuinely had everything we needed - the stuff that just makes it easy to use a holiday home (spices, soap, toilet paper) but also so many perks (the Xbox in the basement was a fun surprise for my husband!). We took various boats out most days and the lake was smooth enough for my 9 year old to paddle herself in a kayak. Everything was easy and the location is great for a family stay - the kids caught their first fish at little flipper and we had fun playing basketball at the local park. Highly recommend!!
