Find villas near Omaha Beach

Spent October half term here. It is a very spacious and comfortable house for 4 of us. We were fortunate to have some warm days when we could enjoy the various areas of outside seating and walks along the beach just at the end of the road. Lots of walks from the front door, a circular one goes past the American cemetery and at the right time of day you can hear the last post being played. The house is a perfect location to explore the area, not too much driving between places of interest. Plenty of restaurants nearby and groceries were easy to get in the village or in Bayeux. The table tennis table in the basement is excellent and there are toys, games and books to use, it is in fact a very well equipped property. Marc and Benedicte are friendly hosts, we had excellent communication and instructions in advance and they welcomed us to the house providing useful information on the area, they speak very good English and were very generous listening to my rusty French! Thoroughly recommend this villa.

This property was great. There was plenty of room for our family and it had everything we needed. The location was perfect. It was close to the beautiful beach and restaurants and was ideal for visiting the D-day beaches.

VRBO really do not show this property well and edit the owners content for some reason. Be rest assured, the property is fantastic & huge. Great location Owner lovely.

If you want a location that captures "Omaha Beach on DDay", this is it. Located along Dog sector of Omaha Beach (the US military sector during WWII), the house allows one to stay right in the middle of where much of the DDay action occurred. One only has to close their eyes and imagine the troops coming ashore right in front of the house, which presents a beautiful vista of Omaha Beach from the simple but comfortable living room. The cotttage is simple but comfortable and is perfectly situated for history buffs who want to explore the beaches and towns from Normandy's WWII history. For all others, this quaint little beach cottage offers a wonderful, cozy respite on a quiet, beautiful stretch of beach in Vierville-Sur-Mer.

For 2 years, we have been looking forward to our stay in the beautiful house on Omaha Beach and it more than exceeded our expectations. The house is amazing. It is everything you would expect from a French villa. There is a ton of space so it is ideal for big families or groups and friends. The kitchen is huge, so we had many nights sitting around the table reflecting on our day, playing cards and having fun. The owner has been super responsive and easy to work with. The location is ideal -- it is about half way down the road and there are restaurants on either end of the street. We had attended the 70th Anniversary of D-Day and loved it so much we came back for the 75th. You always worry that it won't live up to your expectations the second time, but staying in this house, in this location made the entire trip even better than the first time.
