The property was above expectations and situated close to beautiful small beach offering water sports from the quay. Qala square has some beautiful restaurants and great bars within walking distance. The outside area was fantastic for tanning and keeping cool in the pool and the upstairs balconies had the most amazing view from the got tub
The house is beautiful. It's not a good idea to book it during winter season. No basic things provided on arrival such as milk or sugar to make a hot cup of tea, no matches or fire starter or instruction to start the fire in the front room as there is no other heating except that, I had not enough euro coins or the balance left in the meter unit to keep the bedrooms heated the first night of arriving into the cold December nights. Inadequate provision for the kitchen, not enough pots and pans to cook a decent meal for a group of five. Plates with chipped edges are among them. No scissors in the kitchen Microwave is hazardous with a broken edge on the rotating glass plate. It was a struggle to light the fire every night to keep the living room area warm. Other than those complaints, it was ok.
It took me a long time to find somewhere to stay in Malta as I wanted a character house- and this was ideal. It was very spacious and filled with the charm I was after. It was on a lovely square in Medina with an excellent icecream shop opposite.
This is clearly a historic property so a couple of the rooms were a bit rough and ready- but my sons loved the little pool and the bedroom at the top of a spiral staircase. The owner was extremely responsive and it was a pleasant surprise to arrive to fresh bread, milk, fruit and cold beer in the fridge!
This is a large property, ideal for multi-group stays. It has a large clean pool and plenty of outdoor space. It is close to the centre of things, near a supermarket and easy to get around the island.
There were thoughtful touches such as dishwasher tables etc provided. Our hosts were very attentive and helped us find the best short trips to Gozo, a Maltese dining experience and markets/fishing villages.
St Julian's seems to be an ideal location for nightlife, but we used it as a base for relaxing and exploring. We were lucky to be ahead of the busy tourist season. Taxis and food deliveries are easy to get and reliable.
To be honest its the pool that sells this property. Great for all kids and adults ( water was little cold for late October) but fantastic views and good location - short walk from all the restaurants and shops.
Rooms are big, and as expected from the photos. Main bathroom was nice with a decent shower!
Check in and out was easy and the owners were helpful and pleasant. Property was clean and overall a smooth and easy stay
A lovely traditional Gozitan property with good access to amenities.
Just one thing though. The provision of groceries was very kind but it would be useful to know what has been provided as we went to the supermarket before going to the property and then found items had been duplicated
