House was conveniently located to the trolley to get around the city. Only ran into a couple other guests during our stay, and no complaints there as everything was quiet.
Loved the spot! The trolley stops almost right out front all day and night for an easy trip downtown. The area is safe and quiet and super easy to get to. Super comfortable room for an amazing price.
My Husband and I enjoyed our Honeymoon stay .
The property is really cute and quiet. Perfect for couples. Only bad thing is there was no phone to communicate anyone if you are running low on towels or soap and the termites was In the bathroom and by the windows close to the bed .
Great location and would stay again. The water was warm, but not hot. They gave us a disproportionate amount of towels for the length of stay. We were given one set of towels for a four night stay.

The room was basic but adequate. The only real problem was the complete lack of hot water during our 4 night stay.
This place was perfect. The bed was great. The ac was great. Did not have any problems at all with the parking. Used the car line in front of the house to get to the french quarter. Very easy. Safe neighborhood to walk around even at night. Great restaurants around.
I'd strongly recommend this place! It's very hotel like with a bed, mini-fridge, and bathroom. I was perfectly fine with that bc I was on vacation and wanted to spe d my time site seeing. The site is secure with passcodes on exterior and interior doors. There's also free parking as long as you find a space. We didn't have any issues. We'll stay again for aure!
The location was excellent and super walkable. The street is lined with gorgeous oak trees and best of all the streetcar ran right out front of the property. We paid $15 for the week to take the streetcar which was very fast and efficient to get to pretty much everywhere! There are many restaurants in walking distance like “wake and bacon” for breakfast and “Monday” for lunch/dinner. The room had plenty of coffee, and space to unpack and relax. Highly recommended to anyone looking to be near the hustle and bustle just not directly in it. The nights were quite and we appreciated that!
The room was very close to the trolly stop that took us to Bourbon Street. The room was very clean but the floor/shower towel had a brown stain which was a bit disturbing. The main issue I had with the room was it had an overpowering fragrance. We had to open a window bc I felt I was being gassed out. It even saturated my dirty clothes as they still smelled of that fragrance after I got home from vacation 3 days later. Reduce the fragrant smell & this would be an amazing place to stay.

Once we were given the correct entrance door codes and individual room door codes , no problems .
Getting in was more laborious than necessary .

Great Location
My husband and I stayed here for a week. It was the perfect location to enjoy the best of both worlds. We were able to travel a short distance to French Quarters and have a peaceful rest in our room. There were several nice restaurants in walking distance or a quick streetcar ride away. There is only street parking so finding a parking space was challenging at times. The air could not be adjusted in the room so we were freezing at times. Also if you don’t know how to operate a Roku TV, watching tv may be an adventure. The owner and front desk staff was responsive via text and thru the hotel app. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
The property was clean and fairly well maintained considering its age. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and chatting with other occupants in the evenings. Access to the street cars and several restaurants was great.
There was a problem with the hot water which was usually luke warm. If I ran both the shower and sink I had warm water in the sink to shave. When I contacted the manager they said they would check it out. The young lady on the phone seemed to have a hard time understanding I had water from the hot tap it just wasn't hot. On the last day the water was hot enough I thought about adding some cold water when I showered.
The best thing about this property is the location. It’s about 5 miles from the Quarter, but reachable by 2 convenient Streetcar lines. It’s a short walk to City Park, the New Orleans Museum of Art, The Children’s Museum, a lovely sculpture garden, Cafe Du Monde, Greenwood Cemetery, and all the bars and restaurants in the Mid-City. It’s fairly quiet and feels fairly safe. Both the front door and the door to the room are opened with a punch code (no human interaction), so even though we arrived three hours late - due to a delayed flight - we were able to easily access the house and our room.
This property is actually a room in a small hotel (which has no services, i.e. breakfast, concierge, etc.). The room is spacious and is appointed with a coffee maker (coffee, creamer, sugar, and filters), a small fridge, and a microwave. There is a private bathroom with a nice shower. Shampoo and soap are provided - bring your own if you need additional toiletries.
Dear owner: please consider adding thoughtful shelving and/or hooks as there is little storage/counter space on the pedestal sink.
The big problem is the bed. Dear owner, please rebuild or replace the understructure of the platform bed. There is no medial support down its center (from headboard to foot), and a few 1x4s cross-hatched to provide support, along with 2x2 dowels and lateral ¼” plywood slats don’t count. Every movement atop the mattress produced a snap, crackle or pop, leading us to feel that the whole platform would break and crash to the floor at any moment. Additionally, the mattress needs to be replaced - it sags a good 5” in the middle. I mean, I like sleeping next to my husband, I just don’t like sleeping NEXT to my husband. The incredible dip in the middle gave new appreciation to the phrase “crawling out of bed.” There is no good sleep on this bed; my back is still misaligned.
We love the area and the property itself. Would love it more (and return) if the bed were replaced.
