Hello Gerard, I am happy that you liked Castagnatello, I received some feedback from the cleaning manager, but very sorry about the bad weather and that you were surprised that the pool was closed. I believe the pool opening periods are written somewhere on VRBO, perhaps they are not easy to find, I'll check this. In any case the pool is open during high season, until 15/09 - that is why prices are higher then. Temperatures were between 6 and 15°C, frankly it is too cold to keep the pool open. Tuscan regional pool law prohibits bathing in public pools at temperatures below 18C° - I have to comply with this.
