Just what we needed!

Evelyn’s house is so cute and conveniently located. It was perfect for me and my two adult exchange daughters during our “girls trip” to the Amalfi Coast last week. Giuseppe was flexible with us regarding check in, and quickly answered our questions regarding logistics. We absolutely recommend him, and would stay again with no hesitation.

Wonderful Place, Noisy Though!

Giueseppe was an outstanding host! He was most helpful, punctual and very kind. The place was pristine! Really pristine. The kitchen was lovely, the AC was appreciated in the summer heat, the bedroom was large with its own toilet and sink. Yes there are two toilets making the morning rush out the door to explore Salerno convenient. Make sure that you find out how the electricity works. When power goes because a breaker is tripped, you have to go down to the lobby to reset the breaker. We lost power, an being Canadian and a bit naive, we patiently waited all day for the imaginary electricity company to restore power...meanwhile, we didn’t realize it was a tripped breaker that we could have reset in a matter of minutes. That one is no fault of the apartment, it’s on us. But note to the wise. Be prepared for the noisy neighbourhood. The apartment is on the 5th floor (called Piano 4 or level 4 in Italy) and directly across from a church. The bells are piercing loud, and they go off every half hour. If you don’t plan to sleep in, or stay in, this won’t affect you. Also, the train runs right outside in-between the bells. The train is loud because, well it’s a train. In the church yard, children play football (soccer) every night until 1am. If noise does not bother you, then you will be fine. The appliances are new and in great condition making this apartment very accommodating for home cooks, and families. Despite the noise we enjoyed our stay as it was a good location to explore the area.

Cozy and charming apt with artistic flair

This apartment is better than the pictures. Quaint, cozy and extremely charming. Giuseppe was very accommodating with immediate response time. The unit is within walking distance to the beach as well as supermarkets and shops. We enjoyed our visit very much and would book again. We found the church bells to be enjoyable and a great timekeeping tool. Thank you , Giuseppe, for the hospitality!!!

Gemütliche Stadtwohnung mit nahem Strand

Die Wohnung liegt zentral gelegen unweit des Bahnhofs „Mercatello-Mariconda“, weshalb die Anreise mit der Bahn problemlos möglich ist. Vor dem Haus sind kostenfreie Parkplätze vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist in einem Wohngebiet gelegen (Supermarkt/Bäcker: 3min fußläufig erreichbar), der offen zugängliche Strand bietet in 5min. fußläufig erreichbarer Entfernung Urlaubsfreude. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und modern gestaltet, die Küche war für unsere Zwecke ausreichend. Zwei Klimaanlagen in Wohn- und Schlafzimmer sind vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist aufgrund einer Treppe im EG nicht barrierefrei erreichbar. Aufgrund der Lautstärke durch Zugverkehr und nahe Kirche eignet sie sich nicht für lärmempfindliche Personen. Wer jedoch authentischen italienischen Alltag miterleben möchte (so wie wir) wird sehr glücklich werden. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber und schnelles Wifi-Internet.

Modern and Comfortable

Stayed for 4 days to visit family. A stones throw from the Metro station and close to shops cafes and of course the sea, you are right in the heart of city living Italy, so don't expect a quiet secluded stay. It's a place to enjoy the hustle and bustle of this fantastic Italian city. As for the apartment itself. For a start, it was spotlessly clean. It has so many decorative touches, showing how much work and thought has gone into making this apartment a pleasure to stay in. The apartment has one bedroom and a sofa bed, both of which are very comfortable. A well equipped kitchen ( although I have to admit that because the cafes and restaurants are just around the corner we only used it to make coffee) The host Giuseppe was great as were the neighbours, all very friendly. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone visiting the area.
