Excellent modern apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The A/C was strong and consistent, the bed was very comfortable and the apartment had all the comforts of home. Great location near so many restaurants, bars and shopping. Surprisingly quiet given its location! We highly recommend this rental!

Fantastic self contained unit

Excellent property, centrally located, easy walking distance to the old town. Couldn't fault the place. Excellent staff at check in, very helpful and they allowed us to drop our bags at their office u until the property was ready. King size bed very comfortable, tastefully decorated with modern trimmings. Definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Great location and apartment

Check in and communication was great. Very safe area and everything thing we needed in the apartment. Great kitchen and bathroom. Wish I could give 4.5 stars. Only because mattress is so hard we didn’t sleep great.

Great location, lovely apartment.

Brilliant for our weekend stay in Barcelona. Fantastic location. Lovely apartment. Only downside was no reception on TV plus we requested by email a slightly earlier check in and got no response, turned up 30 minutes early and cleaner said apartment was ready and to phone the office, but they weren’t in the office so couldn’t allow us entry. Other than that it was perfect.

Great location and clean apartment

Highly recommend this property to people staying in Barcelona. Apartment was exactly as advertised, totally clean, and the rental managers provided us with baby gear (crib, baby bath, high chair) without us asking, which was great. Location is fantastic, right in the middle of Eixample, walking distance to many sites. Rental managers were responsive via e-mail. Only complaint is that they didn't allow a late check out when we were leaving but that's a minor nit to pick, really the place was great and you should book with confidence.

I liked that it was easy and within walking distance to most of the things I wanted to visit. I could not sleep well, however because the street lights shone in the bedroom curtains and because the apartment was at the front of the building and there was a lot of street noise. Insulated curtains would improve both issues.

Barcelona Gem

Great location and building. The apartment is just as described. We were within easy walking of metro and bus stops. Check in was simple and efficient. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. Only one complaint. The television did not have any English (BBC) stations. Not a reason to complain. Just a curiosity. All in all, a great place.

A gorgeous, spacious flat in the heart of Barcelona. We couldn’t believe how great the location was, and the flat was just perfect. Special mention for the complete black out blinds and ginormous bed - we slept so well!! They provided us with a lovely welcome pack of tea/coffee/sugar/salt etc as well as a cleaning pack to save us buying individual bits that would go to waste. The sofa was super comfortable, and shower was powerful and big. The check in process was also super smooth and we loved having a key code to get in instead of a key - one less thing to think about! They also stored our bags all day on our final day, in a lovely office just around the corner. Super professional rentals. We loved our stay and will both recommend and stay again!

BEWARE- DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY

Upon checking in we found out the air conditioning DID NOT WORK. It did not work for our entire stay. The apartment was constantly uncomfortable, had no air movement, and the humidity level was high. FISA made no attempts to offer an alt property that was in working order. FISA did not offer any rent adjustments for this property. Also, checkout was stated to be by 11 am. At 8:45 am the day of checkout the person who was to clean the apartment upon our departure knocked on the door disrupting us. This was very inappropriate, Why didn’t FISA wait until the stated departure of “by 11 am” to send the cleaning person? It was very uncomfortable when we left as the cleaning person was still in the hallway waiting to access the apartment. This was the worst rental experience we have had on rental sites such as VRBO

The pros and cons about this place

Pros: It would be difficult to find a more centrally located spot in Barcelona, in between Guadi's Battlo house, the Sagrada Familia and the Gothic/Old city. It has a washer (no dryer) and everything feels like it's use IKEA inside. The beds are comfy and the shower is better than any I've seen in Europe (over the last 30 years). This apartment was the only one in the building with an actual balcony, but probably not large enough to take a chair out for two to sit comfortably. There are always cabs parked immediately outside the front door so it's really easy to get to the train station, airport, etc. rather than having to look for one. There's a safe in the armoire for those who may not like the fact that anyone can enter the building and the apartment with a simple five digit code. Cons: The worst part of staying in this apartment is the property management company's slow response and lack of communication - disconcerting when trying to plan a lot of details for overseas travel. They asked twice for things I'd already given them and I had to ask twice for other things. I was on the overseas plane sending them passport images after they'd said a driver's license (including our address) would work. The unit's non-secure Wi-Fi is a problem. My work's IT team ensures we can't access work files or email from a non-secure wi-fi. Luckily I had a phone, but required me to use a lot of cellular data. This unit also faces a major intersection, so light sleepers may not like it.
