Over all the place was great for our family of 12. It was nice having our own pool and beach service also. There were plenty of beach chairs and toys to play with also. I will say that there weren’t even minimal spices. Not even any salt, pepper and oil. Also we found two juice boxes in the bunks so made us wonder how clean every thing was. The fans outside were missing blades which would have been nice if they worked. What was great about the bedrooms was each had an en-suite bathroom. The living and Kitchen area and pool area was great for a large family. We would rent the house again in spite of a few things. I will say when we arrived and the pool wasn’t cleaned, they did send someone out rather quickly.

Our adult children's Multi Family vacation SUCCESS. We enjoyed thoroughly. The house description was exactly as we envisioned but even more spacious. If cooking at the home definitely plan to bring or order in spices, foil, etc. but understand completely. Cookware was plenty. We were afraid we would miss the actual beachfront scene, but the location, private pool and short distance to the beach was perfect. One suggestion, description mentions plenty of towels but if you want beach towels make sure to bring with you or use rental service. We would rent again!

Property was beautiful and had everything we needed to enjoy our week in Destin. View was amazing and private beach and pool great. Kids and grandkids really enjoyed location and easy access to beach and pool!

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful location. Private pool and hot tub. Steps away from the beach. Beautiful home with everything you need. Shopping very close as well. Owner and Compass were super responsive. Will stay here again for sure.

Perfect Getaway

The location was perfect--a block from the beach and about 2 blocks from grocery store, souvenir shop, and other eateries. The pool was absolutely amazing for the kids. There was plenty of room for our group of 14--the kids loved their room in the basement. There was even a collapsible wagon for us to use. We had a very relaxing time and would definitely come back.

Wonderful

Great home and furnishings. pool and outdoor kitchen a great area. Would not reccomend to those with mobility issues. Alot of stairs and if you have small children, take a safery gate

Luxurious house and so much space

This house was perfect for our family of 14. We enjoyed breakfast on the veranda every morning. The kids were constantly in the pool if we weren’t at the beach. Access to the beach was easy. We enjoyed games together in the evening with the open floor plan on the main level. What a great place to stay.

Perfect for families

The best house for a family vacation in Destin. Well-maintained. Kid-friendly. Super quick walk to the private Dunes community beach. Heated pool and hot tub. Beautiful lake views from the deck and patio (feed the turtles!). You can spend a whole week at this house without needing any other entertainment--which is exactly what we did.

Covid stay

We stayed at the beginning of all the closures. By wednsday of our stay all restaurants and beaches were closed. The pool became the awesome hangout. The kitchen became our 5 star dining. Great house and great location.

Amazing Home

Great floor plan and location close to the beach. Very short walk to beach. Access to garage is nice to put cars in. Very clean inside the home and beautiful finishes. Host needs to pay more attention to cleanliness of landscape. Need more instruction for use of the hot tub.

If you missed the road entering into dunes of destin then you missed it. They need street lites

I wouldn't use compass resorts again. They just aren't educated enough on destin and some girls weren't friendly at all. One girl Stephanie was awesome.

Overall, this property was a great value for our large family gathering. The house is spacious, so even with a big group we never felt crowded. The pool was a huge hit with both kids and adults, and the location was excellent, less than a 3-minute walk to the beach, with restaurants, shopping, and water activities all just a short drive away.There were a few areas that could be improved. First, the home could benefit from some additional TLC and proactive maintenance. While the property was still enjoyable, it appeared more polished in the listing photos than in person, and we noticed a few minor issues such as loose or failing doorknobs.Second, the poolside speakers were disconnected due to previous guest noise complaints. While I understand the reasoning, it would have been helpful to know this beforehand so I could have brought a portable speaker.Finally, the sleeping arrangements could be optimized for larger groups with older children or teens. The master suites are very large and could easily accommodate sleeper sofas, or at least one sleeper couch in the main living area. The bunk room works great for younger kids, but some of the teenagers in our group did not have ideal sleeping accommodations.Despite these minor issues, we had a wonderful stay and would happily consider returning.

Destin Trip

Location of the house is excellent. Close to the beach and other attractions. Layout of the house works really well for big groups. Pool and hot tub are really nice to have as well. However, there were a few negatives. VRBO check in says 4 PM but property calls to tell you it could be any time between 4 and 6 PM before its actually ready. House was painted right before we arrived so it had a strong paint smell. Certain appliances also didn't work well (toilet had an issue, dishwasher filter needed to be cleaned). Finally, the TV in the living room didn't work and had a much smaller TV in front.

Casa Di Amore Destin

This is a great place to stay, located very close to beach with a great pool and patio area. Enjoyed watching the wildlife off the deck. Had some issues with the ice maker, but all issues were resolved quickly. Management was very good to work with. We had 10 adults, and there was plenty of space to get together, or have our own space. The location is very central to lots of restaurants and activies, but the traffic on HW 98 was terrible. Had to wait quite often just to make a left turn. Decided to take a short drive down the coast, but were afraid we weren't going to get back due to traffic. There was some road construction, but I have a feeling that Destin has allowed too much development with not enough attention to infrastructure. Overall good experience.

Beautiful home and perfect location!

The house is gorgeous and very clean. Lots of space, great pool/hot tub and a very short walk to the beach! Very nearby to everything in Destin and backs up right to a nice lake, which is peaceful. Check in/out was super easy and the management company was extremely helpful when we accidentally left an item behind at check out. Only items to note were that while the kitchen had a more than enough cooking utensils, dishes and gadgets, there were no spices or anything so you do have to buy all of that and throw it out when you leave if you plan to cook there. Also had to purchase dishwasher and laundry detergent, as there was only enough provided for a couple loads of each. The upstairs master bathroom at the back of the house has large windows that lack window coverings and privacy glass (except in shower) so we felt exposed to neighbors whose windows looked right in. Otherwise, it was everything we hoped for and we would return here in a heartbeat!

We stayed here for 7 nights during Spring Break with a group of 18. While the house has some undeniable perks, the lack of cleanliness and maintenance made for a frustrating experience. We will not be booking this property again.The GoodProximity to Beach: A very short 2–3 minute walk, which was ideal for a large group.Great Pool: The pool size was impressive and provided plenty of entertainment for the kids.The BadPest Issues upon Arrival: Two downstairs bedrooms were infested with flies and bugs on the walls and beds when we checked in. We couldn't use these rooms the first night. While management sprayed the next day, this should have been addressed during the pre-turnover inspection.Lack of Cleanliness: The pool area was covered in leaves and debris, all three balconies were dirty, and the outdoor trash bins were already overflowing when we arrived with no instructions on pickup days.Missing Amenities: We were promised beach service (umbrella and chairs), but they were nowhere to be found despite multiple trips to the shore.Under-stocked: For a week-long stay with 18 people, the "starter" supplies were nowhere near sufficient, and no refills were provided.Aging Property: The house is showing its age and is in desperate need of a deep clean and some modern upgrades.
