About this property
Duck Lake West Shore, Just 15 Minutes from Glacier National Park!
Settle in to this lakeview cabin, there is public access to the lake, stroll among the aspen, and have quick access to the legendary splendor of Glacier National Park. Guests are a mere 20 minutes from the Park, as both the Many Glacier and St. Mary’s entrances invite visitors to explore the wonders of the Crown of the Continent. Hikers will find that the perfect Glacier Park trail is near. The area has been a fishing haven for us, and it is near to well over a dozen lakes and rivers, each of which has abundant trophy-class trout.
The cabin is a perfect home away from home. Large windows showcase the lake. You’ll find 3 bedrooms, which include 2 main-level bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a loft bedroom (2 queen beds). A large bathroom, with a shower, is located on the main level. Laundry facilities are on-site. The kitchen is well-appointed with basic cooking supplies, a large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and range/oven. A barbecue on the front deck is the perfect place from which to enjoy the lake view. The living room has a TV for watching DVDs, a video library, board games, and a gas fireplace.
The area is wild and scenic, but also offers many convenient amenities. There are several restaurants, a gas station, and grocery store within a 15 minute drive of the cabin.
There are few things in the world more satisfying than an escape to one of Montana’s favorite treasures; wildlife and scenic vistas abound. Whether your spirit calls you to wander from your cabin or you’d like to settle in and gaze at the scenery from the ample covered deck, you’ll find your happiness here. The perfect vacation calls you to Duck Lake.
We do not supply bear spray, previous guests sometimes leave bear spray. Verizon is the only service in this area. Internet is Star Link, being remote does have a slower connection. More users tends to slow down service. The drought has extremely hurt Duck Lake.

Clean property, great hosts, close to GNP! Lake was super low and inaccessible from the property during this dry summer, but we enjoyed the property nonetheless!
This was a great location for us away from the crowds of Glacier National Park. Very peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake and convenient location. It's about an hour to Logan Pass, 30 minutes to Many Glacier and a little over an hour to Two Medicine. We also visited Wateron Lakes National Park in Canada about an hour away.
This was an excellent location for access to Glacier National Park east entrance. The cabin was very clean and modern. The owners are very helpful and responsive. We would love to stay again.
An amazing house that made you feel like home. Its location is close to many great locations on the East side to explore. Larry and Linda were there if needed and it was great to share stories with them. Would totally recommend this place for traveling and hope to return in the future to stay longer to make a trip into Canada. Until next time! Julie and Phil (Illinois)
This property looked just like it did on the pictures. It was close to the St Mary's entry to Glacier Park and accomodated the 6 of us quite comfortably. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cabin close to the park.

Thank you! We enjoyed your company. Please come again!
Excellent location for visiting the eastside of Glacier and Waterton Lakes. My husband was unable to do any extreme hiking or horseback riding due to a hip replacement so we took a few 2 mile hikes and 3 lake cruises. Two Medicine, St. Mary's, and Waterton. It was a nice relaxing way to take in the beauty of the parks. We spotted 6 bear on this trip. One in the Two Medicine area and off the side of the road, a momma black bear and 3 cubs side of the road in Waterton and 2 more adults taking a dip in a pond outside of Waterton Village. The weather was perfect for our week there and we loved the tranquility and comfort of our cabin on Duck Lake. Linda and Larry were perfect host!
Larry responded quickly to my inquiries both prior to arrival and while we were there. Good location - more or less between St. Mary and Many Glacier, which we loved. It was actually enjoyable to be outside the park a bit after spending the day in the park as it was quiet and peaceful. It was nice to have a BBQ as one evening we relaxed at the cabin and BBQ'd and we really enjoyed the deck, lawn area and fire pit. The house was well stocked overall, however it would have been nice to have a few more variety of drinking glasses (i.e. smaller glasses as well as some wine glasses) and some shower body wash or soap would have been helpful as well. Not a deal breaker though! It looked like some previous guests left bear spray, bug repellent and some sunscreen which was nice. Glacier NP is a treasure and we were thankful to find this cabin so we could visit our daughter who is a ranger in St. Mary! Overall it was a very nice, comfortable place that I'd recommend for others and I'd definitely come back!
This property was perfect for accessing the East side of Glacier. Close to St Mary and lots of amenities. The house had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable home away from home.
The home was conveniently located between St. Mary's and Many Glacier entrance. It was cozy and very clean for our family of 8 and had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and answered any questions quickly.
My family and I had a great time staying at this cabin near Glacier National Park. The place was super comfy and surrounded by gorgeous views. We spent our days exploring and our nights playing games, laughing, and just hanging out. It was the perfect spot to relax and make some great memories.
We had a great stay at Larry and Linda's cabin. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Close proximity to Many Glacier entrance to GNP. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time at the home. This place is small and quaint but easily fit 7 of us. 25 minutes from Many Glacier was perfect. It was in such a peaceful place and had all the items we needed to stay put if we needed. Can’t wait to come back!
Perfect location for exploring east Glacier and Waterton
This cozy home had everything we needed for a comfortable and lovely stay. The cabin is the perfect location for exploring east Glacier (especially Many Glacier). The owners are so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to the area.
