The house S. Braz is located next to the old Chapel of S. Braz and 60 meters from the Landim Monastery, a Romanesque monastery dating from the 12th century. It is located in a beautiful and historic rural landscape of Minho and very close to the main cities of the north such as Porto, Braga, Guimarães. We are 25 minutes from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport. If you like nature and enjoy the quiet of the countryside, come and spend a few days at the house of S. Braz. It is 6 km from V. N. of Famalicão and S. Tirso and 20 km from Braga.
The space: It is a rustic, stone house, surrounded by nature, with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and kitchen and inserted in a land with a total area of about 4. 500 m2. In the bedroom there is 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed (there is the possibility of an extra bed). Despite being an old house, it is well equipped and with all the amenities. The room had a window that looks onto an outside terrace, very beautiful. Outside, there are rural artefacts and a tank, where the wine of Quinta de S. Brás and which is currently used as a swimming pool on summer days. It has a rustic kitchen, fully equipped and with a stove in stone, the wood, where once baked bread. In front, there is the bathroom with shower and, down the stairs, on the left side, there is another shower right in front of the garden, which is great for bathing on hot days.
It is a very nice and unique place, when it is good weather, because it is possible to enjoy the many green spaces surrounding the house.
The surrounding area has typical restaurants (very close), cafes, confectionery / bakery, mini market, butcher, hairdresser, pharmacy and bank / ATM. There is a supermarket less than 1 km away.
Landim is a strategic place for those who want to know the beautiful cities and regions of northern Portugal: Guimarães, Braga, Viana do Castelo, Porto, Parque Peneda - Gerês, etc. The beaches are just 30 minutes away.

We chose this property because of its geographical location and the photos. The geographical location was perfect with easy access to all the main towns. The photos show a secluded property with a pleasant terrace and garden giving the impression of peace and tranquility. Sadly the very busy and noisy main road right outside destroyed both. This was not just in rush hour but throughout the day and much of the night. Internally, the main bed was ludicrously short with ill fitting bed linen. Kitchen equipment was sparse , for example no kettle, lighting was poor especially in the kitchen. Outside, parts of the terrace were in a poor condition with loose flooring. We didn’t raise the resolvable issues with the owner because we became aware from a more detailed look at reviews that the main ones had already been raised by previous tenants and no action had been taken. The issue of noise is outside his control and understandably not highlighted in the property description.
