Our DREAM is your REALITY! Welcome to A MUSIC BOX!
This 5 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom is the perfect vacation spot for you and your family. Each room is cleverly designed to represent musical genres and eras with beachy themes intertwined. Classical, Acoustic, Crooners, Classic Rock, Disney and Musicals come together for a fun experience! All bedrooms have their own private bathroom. LINENS ARE NOT PROVIDED. Linens can be ordered from a separate company. More information is on the rental agreement.

Enjoy ocean views from all three decks or relax and lounge by your own PRIVATE POOL(Heater available for extra charge - not available from November - March) , TIKI BAR, an outdoor shower, shuffleboard, and a Putting Green.
Comfortably located in THE RESORT subdivision, you have access to a beachfront pool, bathrooms, clubhouse and beach access about 80 yards from the house. Enjoy fishing and crabbing from a private dock on the inlet side with beautiful views of the Intracoastal waterway.

Inside, the home is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, island seating with stools for 4 and table seating for 8, large 55" televisions in both living areas, wet bar & bumper pool/poker/game table in the downstairs living area with added multi arcade & video games with classics(pac man, galaga, etc.), state of the art wifi(atmc 1 gig) and SONOS speakers throughout the home. Take advantage of the 3 story elevator. All the bedrooms have tvs, bathrooms, new bedding & mattresses.
Enjoy the NEW outside decks with new cooling deck boards, polywood rockers, chairs, and tables. Gaze at the magnificent scenery and gorgeous sunsets from the top deck(Owl City) for a 360 degree view of the entire island!

Cancellation Policy: Please contact the homeowner for the cancellation policy. It is also listed in our rental agreement. As with any rentals, we highly recommend purchasing rental insurance. Thank you.

The Music Box was an exceptional vacation home with unique decor that made the house extra special. The house was supplied with just about anything you would need to make your vacation easy. The kids not only enjoyed the pool and Tiki bar area but the arcade was a big hit. Hope to return!

Family Beach Trip

We had the best vacation ever, and it was my 2 year old grandson first beach trip, the owner of this property is a very nice man he really cares that you have a great time and enjoy his house, the set up is perfect and cold not have ask for anything more. Loved this house and would and will be back

Perfect Location

We would highly recommend A Music Box to anyone looking for a place to say in OIB. This property is just as described in the listing/pictures, and comes with many extras that make a stay here even better (records/record player, shuffleboard course, corn hole, etc). The location is great in a quiet area with a short walk to the beach, and the view from the Owls Nest is one of the best we’ve seen on the island. Tommy was great to deal with from booking to check-in/out. We will definitely look for A Music Box when booking our next stay in OIB.

Amazing Beach Vacation

The Music Box was a fantastic house with tons of character and super convenient location to the beach. It was perfect for our family of kids, teens, and grandparents. The kitchen was the most well-stocked of any rental we’ve stayed at, the appliances were top notch, and the game room a hit with the kids. The owners thought of everything to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. We hope to return next summer!

Tropical Storm Debby Survivors

The Music Box was impressive from the first step inside the door. Tommy was great to work with from start to finish. Our family utilized the periods of no rain to get to the beach but when we were “housebound” there was something for everyone and our ages ranged from 10-76. Tommy was great texting me with official updates from the town of OIB. We were so pleased with our stay at The Music Box!

Great House / Great Weather - Doesn't Get Any Better Than This ! ! !

We have been vacationing in OIB for over 50 years, and this house was one of the best we have ever rented. Having 5 grand-kids in the age of 8 - 14, the second "family room" area was absolutely perfect; they could play their video games there, while the adults had the upper "family room" for watching TV. The pool was a good size for our family, and we really appreciated the elevator for unloading / loading. The use of the Beach Club was also appreciated as we arrived early and had somewhere to go to enjoy the beach.

Amazing house, tons of cool details, thoughtful hosts

With all its porches and decks and comfy seating and beds, this house would be amazing even without all the cool stuff in it, but there is so much cool stuff! Music, music everywhere, that you can actually play; games from Monopoly to working arcade machine; unique vintage finds that have clearly been lovingly collected. The owners obviously want their guests to be comfortable, providing extra blankets and pillows, a well-stocked kitchen, and a pristine pool area. Easy walk to beach, less than five min. Sunrise and sunset in 360 views from the top deck. The owner was friendly and responsive and always willing to accommodate our requests. We can’t wait to come back!

What a great place to enjoy Ocean Isle Beach!

We loved this vacation home. It worked well for our family, other than the small “dust up” between the kids as to who was going to get the Bunkie room…LOL. Having the elevator installed was a genius move and when we build (which we are planning to do) it will be a must have addition. It makes it so easy to get in and out upon arrival and departure. The décor was on spot. We listened to records as we played cards virtually every night. Now on the top of our list of places to go. Close enough to OIB center to walk to the shops or miniature golf there. Close to the beach access. Minimal traffic noise. I’m sure we’ll be renting again in the near future. Owners were great to work with as well.

Family Friends Beach Trip

We had a group of 4 families all stay for the week. This house really has some great amenities. We got to enjoy all 4 large porches. Another thing that we found to be nice was having two large living areas, which helped with not feeling over crowded. When they say this house is fully stocked, they mean it. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The house has an amazing game selection including board games and puzzles. The kids and adults both loved the arcade set up as well. It was absolutely amazing that each bedroom had its own full bathroom. Easy walk to the beach, even with the kiddos. Loved having the pool and tiki bar as well. We really did get to enjoy every part of the house. Tommy was always very responsive and easy to communicate with. Thanks again for sharing your home with us!

Amazing Property

This house is incredible. Our group had an amazing time in Ocean Isle and loved this house. We had 3 families - 6 adults and 7 children aged 3-10 and there was something here for everyone as well as enough room for everyone where we never felt cramped. The kitchen was very well-equipped with all the appliances we needed, and most importantly had plenty of dishes and utensils (I can't say that for some other places we've stayed). That may seem trivial but we all appreciated it. The pool - I know I was concerned before we got here that it might not be large enough for our group but it wasn't an issue. The pool is a great size and had plenty of room for all of the kids to play at the same time. The whole pool area is well equipped with the shower/hose/sink and tiki bar as well as the shuffleboard area right outside the pool gate. Our group spent a lot of time down here playing games and swimming. Beach access - just a short walk to the beach. It literally takes 5 minutes or less. Plus the beach isn't crowded so when you walk down the steps from the beach access you can just set up your spot without having to walk very far and find space. The proximity to the beach was nice, as we could run back to the house easily if we needed something instead of having to pack like we were going on an excursion. The house itself - I mentioned how spacious it was and how well equipped the kitchen was already. All of the bedrooms have an attached full bath - this made it easy for each family to have privacy and some space to themselves. There is plenty of seating on both levels and the arcade game was a huge hit with both the adults and the kids. I also appreciated the Sonos speakers as a nice touch as well. Overall we were all obviously impressed with the house and the whole Ocean Isle area. We look forward to staying at this house again when we come back to the area.

My wife and I met in a church Youth group in Charlotte, NC in High School. We both graduated, as did our 3 kids & their spouses, all from NC State University. We got married(31 years) and moved to Greensboro. Owning our very own beach house has been our dream. Music has always been a central theme for the family, We hope you take some time to relax and listen.

We've always dreamed of having our own property to celebrate Holidays and spend quality family time. Located in an accessible spot to the beach and restaurants, very walkable. It also has a great spot for kids to ride bikes safely.

Ocean Isle has a heartbeat unlike any other beach. It's ease of access from any city in NC makes it an incredible backdrop for a beach experience.
