1st Vacation at Gulf Shores

This was our 1st family vacation to Gulf Shores and there will definitely be more. We enjoyed everything. Our condo was amazing with indoor and outdoor pools and a splash pad for the younger kids. The beach was superb very clean and plenty of room to set up chairs and just relax and unwind.

Great unit for family - great beach - great views - just slow elevators and poor parking!

Our unit was nice – could use some updating on appliances – view was incredible - location was great - beach was great - we probably won't stay at this location again as we have had nicer ones! Elevators took forever and were packed but this was Memorial weekend! Pool was tiny!!

Great Location, Elevators an Issue Though

We enjoyed our stay, parking wasn't an issue, and we loved the location. There were times of day that you would have to wait up to 20 minutes to get back to your floor. This usually happened when everyone was heading to the beach, out to eat, or checking in and out. We tried to avoid busy times as much as possible. They should be putting in an additional elevator later this year but until then, it will most likely still be a problem.

Family Vacation

The location is great! It’s right there on the beachfront. The inside of the condo could use some updating. The televisions are older and we had to use one remote to operate two televisions. We also couldn’t get the television to come on in one bedroom. The ice maker on the refrigerator didn’t work. The sliding patio door was very hard to open and close. It is a nice place just needs a few repairs. Our children enjoyed themselves and that was the most important part.

Very neglected property

Seawind 807 Condo Review: Condo was extremely dirty upon arrival. Hallway Toilet had Poop under the lid All floors covered in sand and very dirty All Beds had sand in them Living room Rug is nasty dirty Base boards very dirty Balcony has never been cleaned (several spills on it) Bed sheets smelled like bad body odor NO Toys or other items left in condo for future guests Maintenance items that need to be corrected. Dryer Vent is a MAJOR FIRE HAZARD. Dryer takes 2-3 cycles to dry clothes -Vent Clogged Living room sliding door barely works First left hand Bedroom -Headboard is detached from frame -TV armoire drawers are broken Master bath-shower head has poor pressure Master Bath sink faucet leaks Master Bedroom -Nightstand (balcony side) light has no power available Bunkbed room light switch does nothing Front door lock is very loose WIFI Password is NOT active with this condo

FILTHY!

The average fee per night at this condo is comparable to a 4-5 star hotel. Therefore, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect a clean, comfortable, three bedroom condo as advertised. The condo was filthy. Sand on the floor throughout all the rooms. Mold on the shower curtains. The bedding was horrible. Tissue thin sheets. No blankets- unless you wanted to use the paper thin blanket folded in the closet that was covered in what appeared to be food crumbs. Not all of the pillows had pillow cases and the pillows smelled and were flattened. Please note - This is not a 3 bedroom condo. The third "area" holds a set of bunkbeds, a dresser and nothing more- not even a suitcase! There is no closet and the outlets in this "area" do not work either. Completely unusable space. There were 5 of us and not one more person could have fit in this condo. The elevators are IMPOSSIBLE to use - slow, long lines, just like every other review states except to make matters worse, they too were FILTHY! The walls, floors, buttons.... smeared and dirty all of the time. You could not see through the glass enclosures that the elevators were housed. The door handles, glass.... we were afraid to touch a thing for 5 days straight. No one wiped anything down ever. We rode up and down on the elevator with the cleaning crew on three separate occasions and you'd think they might wipe the walls, doors or buttons down at least once- you couldn't miss the smudges, spills nor the smell. Nope. Not one wipe down, not one cleaning of the floors.... and there were no sanitizing stations anywhere to even allow you to feel a little better about it all. This was an expensive rate for a no-tell-motel kind of stay. Feeling duped!!

Overall Not Impressed

The property itself wasn’t horrible, the rooms were clean and the view was beautiful. However, plan on spending hours of your vacation waiting for elevators and driving around looking for a parking spot. We were guaranteed two spots, they only gave us one and tried charging $25 for our second car. If we got in after 9pm there weren’t any spots available. I was sent two surveys while staying there, both of which I expressed my concerns only to be completely ignored. Also, the pool is merely a puddle big enough for one family let alone an entire building.

Parking issues

The property was great locations great but the parking was Horrible!! The only time you could find a place to park was between 10:30am & 3:00pm couldn’t enjoy an evening dinner. Tried to go to store and couldn’t get out!! Had to physically open a gate and maneuver between vehicles parked everywhere!! Had to park down road one night and pay $20.00 to park there. That was in addition to paying $25.00 for second parking pass and $4.00 for enough bracelets that were not in condo. Other than the parking situation it was great.

The property needs more elevators, but it helped having employees manning the elevators during peak hours. Each one was very kind and helpful.

Wonderful week with just a few issues!

Faucet leaked is master bath when cold and hot water ran at the same time. Roach found on day 2! Need more elevators! Otherwise a wonderful week with my family and I'd stay there again after spraying for roaches!

It could be so much better!

The property is amazing. The splash pad is wonderful for young kids. Easy access to the beach and local restaurants. The chair people were amazing. They helped with the kids. Downfall. When we got to the property it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. The master bathroom had hair all over the back Wall. Big black hair ball in the floor. The blankets on the sofa bed were never changed. The blankets had pizza sauce all over. The extra bathroom smelled of raw sewage. I call for them to send some one to come clean again. She only cleaned the base of the tub leaving all the black hair on the back shower wall. I ended up purchasing cleaning products to clean it my self. They weren't helpful with the dirty linens. We washed them our selves. They only have 1 set of elevators, they are quick but with so many people in one area it takes a while

Terrible elevators

The condo itself was nice but the elevator experience was terrible. When we got there only one was working. It was always a wait and sometimes you had to wait on the next one because they were all crowded. The complex is too large to only have 2 elevators. I was also disappointed in the pool set up. I will not stay at seawind again.

Not impressed Filthy!!

Not a good first impression! General up keep was terrible. Parking was HORRIBLE! Cramped spaces and no room to even get out of your car. Elevators are terrible. 20 minute wait to go up and down when unloading... never again. Room was filthy found used syringe in living room. And used vape vile in bunk bed area... general appearance of room was low up keep and smelled very bad. We cleaned and it improved our stay.. we will not be back to this property again. The beach was over crowded because it is open to the public therefore anyone and everyone was there........ Not going to stay here again and will advise my friends and family not to. Also the indoor outdoor pool is so small and it has to accommodate 3 condo towers 😳....aside from our trip several years ago when I was hit by a car, this was the worst stay yet.

The Seawind Complex is consisted of 2 towers, each tower has their own parking garage space or the option of parking outside. The elevators on a busy check-in day can take longer than normal, I am sorry that you had such a long wait time. In regards to your cleanliness concerns, we did not receive any indication that you were unhappy with your accommodations, we do offer Customer Service 24/7 and would have loved the opportunity to address. Most beaches if not all, located along the Gulf Coast are open to the public, we do not list any where on our site that we have private beaches. The pools onsite actually accommodate 2 towers, as stated before and shown in the listing. The Seawind complex has a kiddie pool with a slide for the children and a pool that is half indoor and half outdoor. These are shown accurately on our site. I want to apologize again that you felt your stay was the worst yet. We would love another opportunity to have you and your family at another one of our locations, one that may be more secluded.
