We loved the beach view and easy access, the comfy lounge chairs, and the large patio which enabled us to enjoy family dinners outdoors. Communication with the host was easy, and any needs were quickly met.

Stayed July 26-Augusy 1, 2026We enjoy our stay at Nancy's beach house. Although the house is older and feels like your Grandma's house, the view and location are top notch. Everything you need to have a great time is there. Kids especially enjoyed the bikes. Only downside was the train noise, and cramp bathrooms. Also during our stay, there was very high tides, and the beach was rocky, making it hard for the kids to get in the water. But Nancy and Dave were great hosts, making sure our needs were met.

You can't beat this location, with stepping off the patio and onto the private beach. The ocean is right there, just down about 10 steps. Great communication with owner, with access to whatever you need. Wonderful stay.

So many things to say about this, Rental. It was totally spotless, no sand in the house, even though the property literally back to a sandy beach. The location was great, the neighborhood felt really safe, I am a runner, so I was able to take a long run by the beach and or stay in the neighborhood. They had so many extras for children, boogie boards, a six person bike, five or so individual bikes, Bob, running stroller, assorted toys, sand toys. Really all we had to bring was our clothes and our toothbrushes. The living room furniture has been recently updated and is not shown in the listing pictures yet. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for having us!

We had the most relaxing time during our week at this beautiful beach cottage. The location was perfect, all of the amenities were so fun for my multi age family, and communication with the owner was wonderful. We highly recommend this place and would love to visit again.

The location was amazing and Nancy was very nice. A great selection of beach toys and bicycles was fun for kids. All appliances worked and good stock of dishes and glasses to use. It was really nice to have a separate beach away from the water, and stairs down to the beach.However, the house is very old and that comes with some issues and why the rating is 4 stars. Some outlets do not work, the sliding doors were pretty much unusable and we just kept them open all the time, which brought bugs. No dehumidifier or downstairs ceiling fans so the house always felt wet. You are paying a premium for the beachfront location, but due to the waves and rocks you cant really swim or enjoy the water. Overall, the stay was good but for the price point would probably look around for another property that was a bit more modern.

Perfect location! Spent a week here with my family. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and had every utensil and pans we needed. There were plenty of nice towels and even new beach towels. There are also newer sofas in the family room. The train is very close but we only noticed it a few times at night since we were sleeping upstairs with the windows open. Most of the trains are short. Would love to stay here again.

The location was exactly what we wanted for my grandchildren's first ocean experience; privacy, safety, views, and lots of sand. The home is older but we had everything we needed. The beach toys and other "kid friendly" items were great to have. The neighborhood and Dana Point were amazing.

We love it here! This is our second time staying at this house & we will stay here again. It has everything you could want: the best beach view & access, clean, house fully stocked, wonderful hosts. If you are looking for the best beach house, look no further!

Location, location, location! Such a beautiful beachfront property in a gated community. Very safe. Easy access to a cute little town of San Clemente with some great restaurants and shopping and coastal hiking. Very relaxing and a very gracious host. I would recommend adding a tea kettle. The beach can be rocky, so, if you are a rock collector and tumble rocks, you will absolutely love it. Otherwise make sure you bring water shoes so you can walk along the coast.

In a word: perfect. By far the nicest vacation stay we have ever experienced. Clean, safe, well kept, and comfortable. Beach amenities provided, as well as bicycles for getting around, and a clean laundry area. Host was very helpful, pleasant, and always available. We definitely did not want to leave!

Awesome location, right on the beach with wonderful sand and even some surfable waves. Tons of room, well-equipped kitchen. Everything was set up well for our party to enter the gated community. Altogether a great place for our get-together.
