Walk to Honl's Beach (Waiaha Beach Park), a local favorite known for surf, tide pools, and its place as one of the birthplaces of modern bodyboarding.
Just a short drive away is Magic Sands Beach (Laʻaloa Beach Park), famous for body surfing and boogie boarding.
Please Note: Magic Sands Beach has an ever-changing shoreline; during calm conditions there is soft white sand, but during strong surf the sand may wash away temporarily revealing lava rock—this natural cycle is why it's called “Magic Sands.”
Nearby Kahaluʻu Beach Park offers excellent snorkeling and frequent sea turtle sightings.
