1876 Waterhouses Farmhouse
2nd Floor Suite: Full Kitchen with Family/Dining room, Large Bedroom and Bath. Lake & Mountain views from private terrace.
TV's, Wifi, bath with double sinks, large shower. Linens and Towels are provided. The Moosalamoo Suite has a large Master Bedroom with sitting area and outside terrace facing the Lake. Sofa bed. Free Beach access with great swim area. Marina offers: boat, SUB, canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals. And for your boat, gas and dockage. Paddler's Pub is inside the Main Marina and also offers "Take out". During the Summer season the Camp Store is open, offering: Beer, Wine, Soda, Snacks, Ice, Milk, Cheese, Bacon, eggs and basic dry goods and beach toys.

Convenient and cozy stay

We stayed for a weekend to be near the lake that I used to frequent as a kid growing up in Vermont. It was great to walk right across the road and access Waterhouses and the boat dock! The apartment was great with a nice kitchen, cozy bed, and cute little porch. My husband dog and I had a wonderful time!

Moving my daughter into Middlebury College

Did not have time to explore Dunmore Lake but will definitely be back. Cozy apartment, very clean with ample parking. Close to the college and not far from Walmart in Ruthland.

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable apartment. Two things that could be improved. It seems to be infestation of Japanese lady bugs 🐞 and ceiling fans are caked with dirt

Another nice stay, well maintained property and great location. Convenient. Very responsive to questions we had as it related to travel concerns as a result of recent flooding Vermont had undergone. WiFi could be better as family struggled to stream movies as we have done in the past.

This was an amazing experience! The staff was wonderful , especially Curtis. The rental was very clean, well furnished, had convenient paper goods, cooking supplies and even a bag of sugar for tea. Great shower and comfortable bed with huge adjustable screen tv that you could watch from bed or one if the two sitting areas. Lake Dunmore is lovely and the sun rises over Mount Mooselamo. Serene and quiet setting with fun places like Middlebury nearby. Wonderful day views and breathtaking star watching from our private roof deck. You can even enjoy a campfire if you choose- it was all fired up and ready to go! This is now on our list of places to revisit next year!

Our stay at the farmhouse apartment was perfect. My wife, dog and I wanted a relaxed foliage getaway and we were thrilled with our experience. Check in could not have been easier and the setting was roomy and cozy at the same time. The sliding doors onto a deck that overlooked the lake was glorious. We will most assuredly be back! Beautiful location, charming older farmhouse apartment

We chose this location because it is centrally located for good hiking, and has a couple good golf courses within 25 minutes. We loved being on the lake, although we are not boaters or fisher persons. The adjacent campground ( mostly Rv”s) was surprisingly quiet, despite being Labor Day weekend. The apartment is furnished with all the basics, decent cookware, only 4 plates and service for 4 utensils. No sharp knives (except a couple steak knives). The kitchen/living room/eating area was quite warm while we were there, but the bedroom/tv room with a couple pull out couches was cooled by an air conditioner. The staff were very nice, and responded to our questions and concerns. We enjoyed hiking in very nearby Brandon State Park, the trail around Middlebury, and Vermont’s Long trail. The Nescobe golf course in Brandon was beautiful. We definitely will recommend the Moosalamo Suite, and the area to our friends, and when we return to Vermont.
