Stay at The Mountain House in McCloud. This charming historical house, recently updated 3 bedroom/2 bath home has everything needed for a carefree vacation. It sleeps 7 guests comfortably. We have fast reliable WiFi and cable.

This spacious home features a large living room, a dining room that seats 8, a family style kitchen, bonus room with washer/dryer and air hockey, front and back deck for full views of Mt. Shasta, and gas BBQ outdoors. It is located on a quiet street, only a short walk to downtown and only 5 miles to Mt. Shasta Ski Park entrance.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
When you check out, please place any used towels and used bed sheets in the laundry room in front of the washing machine.
Before checking out, please bag all trash and place it in the laundry room by the back door. You'll find extra trash bags under the kitchen sink if needed. Thank you for helping us keep things tidy!
Before checking out, please load any used dishes into the dishwasher and start the cycle. Your help in keeping the space clean is greatly appreciated!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
1. Do not turn Air Conditioner down past 70 degrees
2. Upon end of stay, take sheets and used towels to laundry room.
3. Place all used dishes and utensils in the dishwasher and turn on.

Wonderful, everything as expected although could use another AC unit since it was triple digits the 3 days we were there. The owner were so helpful by providing an ice chest for a day at the lake upon request. The beds were comfy and showers had great pressure. I would highly recommend

This is a great house for family to enjoy a get away!! Only a few minutes from Mt. Shasta for snow play which is why we were visiting! We will be back again!

Wonderful family weekend in McCloud

This property was an ideal getaway for our family. Its amenities and central McCloud location allowed us to relax, play indoor and outdoor games, and stroll around the town exploring. Our teenagers even put down their phones!

Everything we needed

Every year members of my family meet in McCloud for a week of fishing. In years past we would stay at the cabins in the campground, however the boys turned to men and we needed more room. This home was perfect for us. Clean, relaxing and convenient. Will definitely stay here again.

We are an outdoor family of 6 that has fallen in love with McCloud and all surrounding towns. We have 4 grown sons that grew up camping, hiking, riding, skiing, and fishing McCloud. We recently purchased The Mountain House from a great family who had owned the home for 65 years.

Why they chose this property

This home has such rich history and love. We fell in love with the house because of the views and proximity to downtown, hoo hoo park, Mount Shasta Ski resort, and many more.
