About this property

Peaceful house/ garden in Provençal village

Situated within five minutes walk of Lourmarin village center, and a balls throw from the tennis courts, Maison 13 offers comfortable accommodation for 6 people, with: Entrance hall, leading through arched doorway to lounge/dining room with fireplace. Separate study with internet connection. Kitchen with access to utility room with washing machine. From the entrance hall, stairs to upper floor, with three double bedrooms. Two rooms with double/single beds, one with two singles. All bed linen provided. One bathroom with bath and shower: separate toilet. One en suite shower room and toilet. The Provencal garden includes flower beds, stone garden and covered patio. A selection of books, guides and Cd's also available. Eng. language TV. Parking space for two cars, beside the front garden. On arrival you will be met by our local representative Erika, who speaks English. She will show you around the house and hand over the keys. Changeover day Saturday, letting for full weeks only.

There are guide books, leaflets etc in the house covering activities and places of interest to visit in and around Lourmarin. You will also find information about essential shopping and local medical facilities. Erika can also give you further information should an emergency arise.

Civilised home in a beautiful area

Lourmarin is a beautiful town in a gorgeous area, and this is a civilised home to stay in while there. There was a serious heatwave during our stay, and being able to retreat back to the house helped make the stay really enjoyable.

In the Heart of Luberon Sud

A comfortable and spacious house with easy access by foot to the village of Lourmarin. The friendly cats who visit the garden are extra attractions.

5 Days in Provence

Well situated property just outside of town to use as a base to explore Provence. House was comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed breakfast in the yard and it was a 5 minute walk to town. The overall location was a great spot to explore the region. The house was in a more quiet residential area so great to sleep in. While love the charm of staying in the actual villages - they can be noisy so this was a good alternative.

Location, location!

The house is quite delightful with very spacious bedrooms. It’s a very welcoming house, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is charming and well equipped. It doesn’t have an oven but we knew that as this was our second time to stay there. The house is fabulously located, just a short stroll to the village's shops, restaurants and cafes.

One week in Lourmarin

Great, we found a lot of trips in komoot, starting right at Lourmarin. The village itself is a little too busy, but cosy. Great Boulangerie! On Friday we were surprised about the weekly market. We visited Rustrel and Fort Buoux. Recommendable!

Ideal Lourmarin location.

Spotless home is on cul-de-sac close to the village. Easy, level walking path - 5 to 10 minute walk to village. Some parts of the path could be better maintained. Beautiful village with a number of good restaurants and many small shops. Car free pedestrian zone and lovely town square. Very small grocery store in village - other option is 10-15 minute drive. Wonderful patissere is a 5 minute walk. 3 good sized bedrooms. 2 king size beds, 1 twin on second floor. One en-suite bath with shower and addiional shower/sink and separate toilet on second floor. 1/2 bath on first floor. Spacious kitchen, living/dining and separate office. Lovely private garden area with wrought iron table and chairs - perfect for outdoor dining. Our group of 3 couples had plenty of room. Parking for 2 cars. A bit tight to get in and out of carport. A couple of neighborhood cats seek attention and food in a mannerly fashion. A perfect place to stay in Provence.

Nous n’avons passé qu’une semaine mais nous nous sommes très vite sentis bien dans la maison. L’environnement est aussi très agréable avec le parc et les courts de tennis. Enfin, le charmant village de Lourmarin est facilement accessible à pied.

Maison spacieuse à 5 minutes à pied du centre de Lourmarin

Lourmarin, notre village préféré, avec ces boutiques, possibilités de contacter directement des artistes peintre, son marché provençal et des restos sympa. Les plus beaux villages de France à 30/40 minutes (Gordes, Rousillon, Ménerbes, Bonnieux, Cucuron, Ansouis). Visite de magnifique domaines viticoles dans les environs, tels que Fontanille, Chateau de la Verrerie, Chateau Val-Joanis avec son magnifique jardin qu'il faut absolument visiter. A environ 50 minutes en voiture, nous avons visité Aix-en-Provence, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Avignon, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Sault (pays de la lavende)

Wunderschöne Urlaubswoche mit der ganzen Familie

Der Urlaub in Lourmarin mit der Familie war wunderschönen. Ein sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage und gleichzeitig zu Fuß nahe zum Zentrum von Lourmarin. Sehr freundlicher Vermieter mit guten Tipps für die Ausflüge. Wir können es nur bestens weiter empfehlen.

A real beautiful place to stay

Nice house with plenty of space. Well equipped (the missing baking oven is declared in the description of the property, so we were prepared for this) with plenty of dishes, cutlery, towels and bed linen (not only one towel per person like it was in other properties), even a first aid kit in the bathroom isn't missing (including some tampons for women :-)). The host provides a really useful folder with many informations about the house and some suggestions for trips. WiFi in good quality. The terrace is shaded by a "roof" of grapevine. Quiet neighborhood (the nearby tennis courts don't really disturb). The property is located at the edge of the village, nevertheless the center of the village and some stores for daily needs are in a short walking distance. We enjoyed our stay in the house and especially the four little kittens that visited the terrace every day in hope for some food and cuddles... Thank you very much, David, for sharing this beautiful piece of Provence.

Beautiful house with excellent location to village

The home is very spacious and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. The location to Lourmarin could not be better, just a short pleasant walk. Unfortunately it was so hot that we were unable to sleep so we left a day early to ho yo a hotel with AC.

A comfortable stylish house in a beautiful village

This is a very comfortable house in a peaceful leafy area. It's a pleasant 5 minute walk from the beautiful village of Lourmarin. It had everything we needed for a most enjoyable stay. The bedrooms are spacious with large comfortable beds, and although the temperature was 30 to 35 during the day, it dropped sufficiently at night to allow us open the windows, so we didn't need to use the fans provided. The living/dining area is comfortably furnished and the kitchen really well equipped. We ate out on four of our seven nights and used the barbeque (charcoal, which we prefer) and hob on the other three, so didn't miss an oven. We had been to Lourmarin before and really enjoyed revisiting it as it is truely a beautiful village. Pretty and quaint with lovely old warm stone buildings it also has a plentiful supply of boutiques, bric-a-braque and food shops along with good restaurants and cafés. It's a joy just to wander its narrow cobblestone streets. Of course there are lots of other pretty Lubéron villages to visit, some only a short drive away, and the town of Aix-en-Provence is only about a forty minute drive from the house. All in all we had a really enjoyable stay in this comfortable stylish house in this beautiful corner of Provence and would highly recommend it.

Lovely house in a convenient location

House was clean, well equipped and comfortable. It would be suitable for a large family or up to three couples. We enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk into Lourmarin. It's a good location for touring the Luberon, or for day trips to the cities or the coast.

Great House and Perfect Location

We were exceptionally pleased with this property. The owners do a superb job of maintaining the house and stocking it with essentials for travelers. Everything was in working order and the house was perfectly cleaned when we arrived. Getting in was easy - there is a lock box arrangement which worked well. The location is great. Just a short walk to the center of beautiful Lourmarin and easy access to roads for more ambitious explorations. This was the first time we have been to Provence in the autumn and the colors were magnificent. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this house without qualification.

Ein wirklich komfortables Haus

Aufgrund von Covid-19 hatten wir vor dem Urlaub häufiger E-Mail-Kontakt mit Marilyn und David. Die Kommunikation war großartig! Ebenso wie das - für vier - großzügige Haus, wobei wir die schattige, uneinsehbare Terrasse am meisten genutzt haben. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und nur ca. 5 bzw. 7 Gehminuten von Bäcker und Ortszentrum entfernt. Es war alles vorhanden, was man in einem (Urlaubs-)Haushalt so benötigt: Küchenutensilien, Waschmaschine, Boule-Spiel und Grill, dazu CDs und Bücher. Und - die Kinder waren begeistert - W-Lan. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten bzw. empfehlen.

We are a British family living in Switzerland for a number of years, originally here for work but now that the children are grown and have established their own families, we are enjoying watching the grandchildren develop as bilingual Europeans.

Why they chose this property

Holidaying in the region some years ago, we noticed this development of new houses being built and thought they looked interesting and above all, in a wonderful position. The following year they were nearly completed and we decided to look round one of them, which resulted in us having long discussions about how to afford the upkeep and maintenance. We have never regretted what was a fairly rash decision!

What makes this property unique

The house is in a wonderful village, with easy accessibility, a gentle stroll to the shops, restaurants, market and the perfect place to watch the world go by. We have furnished it as our own home, because that is what we wanted, a home-from-home and we hope all our guests feel that too. For those with a more energetic bent, there is wonderful walking in the hills, particularly in the Spring, when the thyme and rosemary are in bloom.
