Het huis ligt in een prachtige en rustige omgeving, minder toeristisch, waardoor er vooral 's avonds weinig gezelligheid in de omliggende stadjes is. Mooie wandelingen mogelijk en twee restaurants in Hohentauern zelf. Het is wel jammer dat het huisje niet het huis van de foto's was; hoewel van binnen vergelijkbaar en goed, was er buiten sprake van een klein terras met alléén een picknicktafel, geen comfortabele tuinstoelen.
