Casita Dulce is a very private one bedroom casita, with air conditioning, at the rear of a private home located at 615 Onate Street (Place). The home has a large fenced private garden for enjoying the lovely Santa Fe weather. There is a mature fruit-bearing apricot tree for your enjoyment. Casita Dulce is an easy 10 minute walk (0.5 miles) to the Railyard and a 1 mile walk to the Plaza in the center of Santa Fe.

The entire casita has been completely redecorated including a new bathroom, with a Jacuzzi tub, and a King bedroom. The living room is tastefully appointed and has a 50″ HDTV Smart TV. The dining room table will comfortably seat four. The kitchen has been updated with all new appliances including a gas range. Both the living room and the bedroom have sliding glass doors for natural light and access to the rear private garden. This home really captures the neighborhood charm of Santa Fe.

After our third stay at Casita Dulce it feels like our "home away from home". It's a delightful place, perfect for two. The adjustable/quiet HVAC units control your indoor climate, there is pleaty of hot water, a soo comfortable king bed, modern fridge and stove, utensils, waher/dryer, and a large screen smart TV. There's also a cute little garden to just sit and relax.The location is ideal - a short walk to the railyard district with its galleries, markets, and restaurants, as well as a Whole Foods market. You're a couple of blocks off of St Francis in a very quiet neighborhood with easy street parking. This location makes it easy to drive north or south of the city while avoiding city streets and traffic.A big plus is that the owners live in a house next door and are incredibly responsive to any of your needs and questions. That's unusual in most rental situations.

Casita Dulce was a wonderful place to spend 5 nights. A good location to explore Santa Fe, Taos, nearby National Parks and bask in the friendly atmosphere of New Mexico. All the comforts of home were available ( a particularly comfy bed after spending much of our vacation on less than comfy hotel room beds) . The casita hosts a considerable array of unique pictures and artifacts throughout, that contribute to the overall enjoyment

Property was clean and in an excellent central location of the city. Kitchen was well stocked even with pans, seasonings, cooking oils and other simple everyday use items you may have forgotten to bring. Bed was comfortable. AC and heat worked well. Jacuzzi tub is a great touch. Host was very friendly. You enter through their side gate at the end of the driveway and it’s an independent casita that’s part of their backyard. Also able to use the washer and dryer that’s part of the casita building.

My main issue was I had to spend several hours cleaning the top lamps with water and paper towels, the back headboard, the side mattresses, and the walls in the bedroom, as it was sprayed down with either ECOLAB or febreeze, or some kind of chemical product. I was told it was chemcial free, but there was febreeze under the sink. In the future, please use chemical-free products!!!!
