Summary:

Beautiful Post & Beam house close to the village of Stowe with views overlooking Mount Mansfield and only 8 miles to Stowe Mountain Resort. Convenient access to highways, trails, skiing, shopping, bowling and the village of Stowe (close to the bypass road to skip the Stowe Mtn traffic!).



The perfect getaway with a home theater, gourmet chefs kitchen, hot tub and large deck. Ideally set up for two families or three couples for a four season vacation - hike, bike, ski or just relax, pet friendly.



The Space:

This beautiful property is just 5 minutes from the center of Stowe but down a pleasant country road away from the hustle and bustle. View the lights twinkling at the Trapp Family Lodge way up on the hillside, from the privacy of your very own outdoor hot tub on the covered portion of the wrap-around deck.



It's a wonderful home for kids and adults with a home theater downstairs, gourmet chef kitchen, opening to dining room and living room with stunning views of Mount Mansfield, sliding doors onto a large wrap-around deck, making this a relaxing home away from home.



Full house access and equipped with use of outdoor grill, gas fireplace, air conditioning, refrigerator, cooking utensils, crock pot, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven, dining table seats six with four stools at the counter next to it.



An abundance of comfy sofas, Home Theater, SmartTV, DVD player, foosball table, large DVD collection, Wii, WiFi, internet stereo, sound system, large garage and private driveway.



The upstairs bedrooms have high cathedral ceilings, large custom cedar closets, and en suite bathrooms.



The master bedroom has a king size bed with views of the mountains and a private quiet reading area with wing backed chairs.



The guest bedroom has a queen size bed, built in custom cedar closet and a bathroom en-suite.



Downstairs, both bedrooms have two twin beds (can convert to a king) next to home theater.



Note: no bedroom on main level. WiFi speed is 500mbps.



Hotel quality duvets, fresh towels and bed linens provided.



The driveway can get snowy and slippery during the winter weather so a 4WD vehicle would be helpful (not required, but definitely helpful).



This house has central air AC.



We are pet friendly, up to 1 dog (no cats) and with a $75 pet fee.



The Neighborhood:

This beautiful property is just 4 miles to the center of Stowe yet off a pleasant country road away from the hustle and bustle. Stowe Mountain Resort is about 8 miles from the house. The house is on Rt 100, between the bypass road and the Village of Stowe. The best route to the mountain is to take the bypass road to skip any possible traffic.



Getting Around:

Vermont in general has a large percentage of dirt roads and dirt driveways. While we do our best to ensure that the roads and driveways are clear and passable, we cannot guarantee easy access to each property without a proper vehicle that has either AWD or 4WD and is equipped with proper snow tires. Please plan transportation according to the season. Stowe Mountain Resort is about 8 miles from the house. The house is on Rt 100, between the bypass road and the Village of Stowe. The best route to the mountain is to take the bypass road to skip any possible traffic.

The house was beautifully set up for the holidays, very comfortable. The area is great, close to everything. My family and I enjoyed spending time in Stowe. If I had to mention one thing for improvement, the house managers should pay extra attention on door locker battery, we struggled with closing the door for a couple of days until it got fixed. Other than that all was great. Thank you.

This house was perfect for our Stowe vacation. It is actually more lovely than pictured. We traveled with our two boys, 14 and 11. They were thrilled to have their own rooms and hang out space. I loved everything from the fully stocked kitchen, book selection, comfy beds, hot tub, and cozy outdoor sitting area. It's a short drive to attractions, hikes, shops, and restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again!

New England Family Trip

My wife and I brought three of our daughters (25, 11, and 10). The property was perfect for our group. Communication with the owner/property manager was excellent, and the welcome basket and waters by the beds were a nice suprise. The bedrooms worked out perfectly. Everything was clean, including the hot tub. The property is close to so many things and is very private with beautiful grounds. We wish we could have stayed longer and spent more time relaxing at the house. We would definitely stay again!

Poor snow is a risk of December skiing in VT, but the comforts of this beautiful house with all of the amenities you’d want made hanging out at home with a book, or a leisurely day exploring the village a pleasant alternative. Although it would have been fun to sample more of the local restaurants, with young kids we elected to cook at home frequently and the large, well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed. And the hosts were helpful and rapidly responded to the few minor maintenance issues we encountered (pocket door jumped its track, coffee maker died). Thanks, Jen!

Family time in Stowe

This house in Stowe suited our every need. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room throughout. The location was perfectly situated with an easy drive to downtown Stowe, Mount Mansfield, Waterbury, etc. The house has a very nice hot tub on the deck that we enjoyed so much. The deck was spacious and had an open view to the beautiful night sky. The master bedroom was extremely confortable and large. Each bedroom provided what we needed. I messaged the owner with a minor maintenance suggestion and she replied immediately and thanked me. I would definitely choose to stay here again!

AMAZING PROPERTY!

Overall everything was great! the house was really well equipped, cookware, games, blankets, cleaning products etc. Definitely a 10/10 experience. Only thing I would say is that when we arrived it seemed like the house had not been finished cleaning because the rugs and sheets were out of place and there were some cleaning products out. But not a big issue at all

This property is tucked away close to downtown stowe but has a very appealing rich interior and surrounded by thick woods. The kitchen is very well stacked with variety of cooking accessories and pantry. The cabinets are stocked with fun board games and puzzles and The beds are very comfortable, The hot tub was a treat for the baby and the deck with the fall colors around it and the grill made our sunsets special.

Everything you need and more! You’ll want to stay again and again.

We had such a great family vacation! This house is beautiful, very comfortable and so CLEAN! Perfect for families. We enjoyed the location to downtown, the super comfy beds, nice furniture, spacious rooms, and the excellent kitchen with everything you could possible need to make delicious meals. The large deck with Jacuzzi tub, surround sound through out the house, and basement to watch movies and video games were a big hit. There is a concierge available should you need it for issues or recommendations and the owners are extremely responsive as well. We have zero issues or complaints with our stay. Everything was perfect. We booked another week next summer for more relaxing and exploring - can’t wait! Book this house, you won’t regret it!

We are a busy working family, loving the hustle-and-bustle of city life but appreciating the serenity of the mountains and countryside. Married for twenty years, my husband and I like to travel and enjoy good food and great wine. We are an active family and love playing, watching, and coaching soccer. In our spare time, we enjoy hiking, biking, exploring the outdoors, visiting museums and then settling in for a low-key movie night.

We own a home in Stowe, Vermont and work with a local property manager to help our guests arrange any and all plans for visiting, including dinner reservations, ski lessons, grocery shopping, or arranging a special event. The property manager has managed the house for many years and we look forward to many more years of great customer service as we welcome our guests to Stowe, Vermont.
