6BR house steps from the beach w POOL

The Wavewatch is a beautiful beachfront house just 1 mile west of the main intersection in Gulf Shores. Upper and lower decks attached to the living quarters and a large deck surrounding a 16 x 30 pool give plenty of room for sunbathing and relaxing. The house is directly on the beach with spectacular ocean views. It is one of the premier properties on West Beach.

The Wavewatch is a duplex with each self contained unit designated by 'West' and 'East' sides. Each side contains 6 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms on three floors. There is also covered parking for two cars and off-road parking for an additional two cars on each side. Although both sides are very similar, they each rent through separate listings on this site and the remainder of this description is specific to Wavewatch East. Wavewatch West can be found at listing # 116269

From the covered parking area the ground floor may be accessed via the main entrance or the pool deck via an exterior stairway. The ground floor interior features an entry with a large coat closet and a bedroom with twin over twin and twin over full bunk beds.

The main floor features a beautiful open living area with a den/entertainment area, dining area and large kitchen. This level also includes a full bathroom and two bedrooms, each one with a queen-sized bed. The newly remodeled gourmet kitchen includes granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a large bar with seating plus an enclosed pantry.

The top floor contains the master suite, and two additional bedrooms. The master suite has a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, private bathroom and a private deck overlooking the beach and pool. The second bedroom on this level has a queen-sized bed; the third has a full-sized bed. The hallway on this floor provides access to the third bathroom and the laundry area as well as the bedrooms.

The house comfortably accommodates groups of all ages and is appointed throughout with all of the comforts of home in an up-to-date style. This section of beach truly affords privacy but is only minutes away from the attractions and entertainments of Gulf Shores.

We are a family owned dwelling catering to family groups. We do not rent to spring-breakers, bachelor, or bachelorette parties.

The house was nice and the beach access was great! The pool needs some updates but overall still very nice to have the pool as an option. The bedrooms are a bit tight but the master was awesome and had balcony access. Also want to note this was one of the best decorated houses my family has stayed in!

The best possible place to stay

The house was amazing, clean, and had a great location for the beach & short drives to restaurants. The view of the beach is beautiful. The pool is a great way to end the day after a long time on the beach. Can’t wait to come back to this house in the future!

Family Vacation

Our stay was amazing. The property was perfect. Located directly on the beach with a huge pool. My 9 grandchildren was with us. They loved everything and said it was the best vacation ever. It was beautifully decorated and had a kitchen that was stocked with plenty of cookware and any type of cooking utensil you would need. I would highly recommend.

Great property

My family has been renting houses in Dauphin Island and Gulf Shores since 2020, this was by far one of the best houses we have stayed in. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The inside of the house was beautiful. The pool is well maintained. The only exception was that they need to get better wifi. I would stay here again.

Great beach house, good location. There are two things you might address. My son and his wife had to clean the skinner basket and pool pump filter. Then they did a back wash. We got a nice clean pool.My wife said, you need a new refrigerator filter. Its not making ice, water flow is weak.

Great Place to stay

Clean and great place. Just needs a lot of attention to lights hulbs out, ice maker filter stopped up and wouldnt make a lot of ice. Beds are NOT queens as listed they are all full and one King. Make sure to bring things like hand soap, toliet paper and paper towels. Also, we had to purchase more towels, wash cloths, and dish towels.

Great Location and House

We loved the house. The location was closed to Waves store to pick up items. Easy access to the beach. Included a pool that we shared with the other side of the duplex. It was a lot of fun.. The best surprise was to find out that the owner had arranged service for umbrellas and chairs to be set up on the beach each day and picked up at the end of the day. This made it so easy for everyone. Would highly recommend this house.

high end, great location, small misses

Perfect location on a quieter section of beach away from condo row. house is very nice and slept 5 couples in individual bedrooms with a bunk room that slept another 5 individuals. Ample bathroom space for the large group.Just a few things to be aware of are that you will need to come with all of your own supplies. There was no trash bags provided, toliet paper is minimal and not suffiecient for a multi night stay with full occupancy. These items are fine, just be aware upfront. Also, internet speed is very slow.these small misses are the items that kept me from giving an overall 5 star review but I would certainly come back.

Wavewatch East Review

Beautiful duolex with updated decor, beachy theme; clean. The A/C was fabulous on all 3 floors. Plenty of cookware, silverware and dishes. Easy to get into the unit. Pool was nice with plenty of loungers. Close to beach; appreciated the chairs and umbrellas. Opportunities for improvement: need a new toaster, fridge/freezer temp is inaccurate despite adjusting, full and queen size mattresses sag in the middle, only had 3 washcloths for the entire unit, there were no kitchen towels or dishcloths.

Its peaceful and calm. IT is not in the busy part of Gulf SHores but also close enough that you can get to the Hangout or any eating places by foot or vehicle.
