We loved our stay at The Refuge. We cook at VRBOs and the kitchen was perfect. A grocery store is a short walk away. The private parking in the driveway behind a gate was great. The best feature of the house was the patio and dining table there, we had every meal and enjoyed many glasses of wine there. I highly recommend it and would stay there again in an instant.

Great Spot!

Place was very clean, cozy, and enjoyable! The outside kitchen has a classic villa look which is great. We slept with the windows open during the night and were comfortable. There’s a good deal of space for lounging and hanging out.Host was very responsive and attentive. Would recommend.

Nice Property and Neighborhood!

Posted pictures don't do the property justice. It's super modern, clean and comfortable. The backyard area is sweet and the location is convenient to a variety of local sites and attractions. Andre was a kind and thoughtful host. No hesitation recommending this rental.

Beautiful neighborhood

This property is even nicer than it appears. Locater in one of the nicest neighborhoods on the island, it was quiet, safe, and very comfortable. Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a great stay. Andre lives next door and was very attentive, making us feel very welcome.This is one of the nicest VRBOs we've stayed at throughout the world. Great location for exploring the island. Thanks for sharing.

Comfortable stay close to it all

We stayed at Andre's beautiful home on Terceira. It was immaculate, well equipped, comfortable and close to everything. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed some meals in. The back patio was an excellent place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Our 13yo son lived the loft bed in the living room. We just wish we had time to use the outdoor pizza oven! Andre was communicative and available for questions and gave some wonderful suggestions. Can't wait to return!

Almost moved in permanently!

My husband and I came to Terceira for our honeymoon and had the most wonderful stay at Andre’s beautiful home. We loved it so much that we almost didn’t leave! The home is spacious with modern touches. A huge plus was the washer and dryer there. It was walking distance to beaches, the downtown Angra area, shops, and restaurants. Andre was extremely attentive, patient and helpful, he even offered to help us get food after we got in late and had lost luggage at the airport. Such a sweet guy! Thank you for an amazing stay Andre! We hope to return in the very near future. Best, Heidi & Dan
