The location was great but the property very much felt like student accommodation that has been converted as a holiday let.One of the rooms smelt of sick and other rooms / items smelt of smoke and the linen musty. Also some of the rooms smelt musty / damp.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re pleased you found the location convenient, but we’re very sorry that the property did not meet your expectations.
The smells you experienced are certainly not what we would expect for our guests. We take comments regarding cleanliness and presentation seriously and will be discussing these points with our cleaning and housekeeping team to ensure they are properly addressed.
We’re sorry that your experience fell short of what we aim to provide, and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention.
We stayed here with 2 other couples for 2 nights, primarily to attend Chester Races. The location was perfect for both walking into the town centre and to the racecourse.
The house had loads of space - we spent most of the time in the kitchen when in the house. We also managed to sit outside in the small terrace area as the sun was shining 🌞
The rooms are all a good size (the 2 on the top floor are huge).
The only slight downside was that there was only 1 room with an en suite, so 2 of the couples had to share a bathroom/shower room.
Overall, we all thought the house was excellent for our stay and well worth the money. We were even allowed to keep our bags in the house whilst it was being cleaned on our departure date, rather than us having to take them all with us when we went out for breakfast before heading for the train station. This was much appreciated.
