About the host
Hosted by Cheri Osborne
Peter's Grandmother Mary Taylor purchased this property in 1962. The Village Suite used to be her art studio and is located next to the family home where Peter and Cheri live. Cheri has lived on the Mendocino Coast over 40 years, and is a real estate Broker at Mendo Sotheby's. Her interests are organic gardening, cooking, preserving/canning food and helping people find their dream home here. Peter is retired from KGO TV and his interests are remote controlled aircraft, petanque, golfing, gardening, and home projects. We were married in 2016. We love Mendocino and look forward to welcoming you and telling you about the things we love to do and see here.
Why they chose this property
Cheri arrived here in 1977 from Washington to attend pottery school at the Mendocino Art Center, drove into town and fell in love with the area. She never left. Peter spent his childhood visiting Mendocino, and his parents moved into the main house in 1990. He lived in the Bay Area, and drove up frequently to visit his parents and his sister, Jennifer, who lives around the corner. We are in the process of making the main house our very own home with personal touches. It is exciting to be able to offer the Village Suite as a vacation rental!
What makes this property unique
We love our property because it is located on the west end of town in a quiet residential district known as Portuguese Flats. The fantastic unobstructed view across state park and onto the Mendocino Bay is a very unique and hard to come by view in the Village. Our family has spent many happy years on this property and we look forward to sharing it with you and helping you create your own happy Mendocino memories!
