Rural rustic charming house

We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The house is as attractive as the photographs suggest. It is in the middle of the forest and so it does feel like you are getting away from it all. There are a couple of houses nearby but you really feel on your own. Access is along a long forest road. The last stretch is unmade and the drive of the house proved a challenge.I was glad I had a 4x4! It has a commanding position above the lake, providing beautiful views . The lake is particularly tranquil in the morning and was our favorite time for a swim.Access is down a steep track,or longer route, not really suitable for flip flops! It's a great spot for wild swimming, but there are supervised beaches around the lake. The house is very comfortable and well equipped and ideal for two couples and young families. We enjoyed dining out on the terrace -just remember the mosquito repellent!!!

James and his guests were a pleasure to host. James was easy to communicate with and the house was left clean and tidy. I would be very happy to host James again.
